1.
I know someone who has one - he's got a zillion basses so may be persuaded to sell. I'll give him a shout and see what he says
Thank you Barrie!!!
 2.
Gareth sorry I could not help on this occasion - can I congratulate you on your avatar photo - the late great Ronnie Lane - a terrifically original and severely under-rated bass player - I don't think anyone has ever repeated his type of bass lines - certainly a heavy influence on my own playing style for sure
No problem at all, thanks for coming back to me so quickly yesterday. Yes, Ronnie was quite the man.
 3.
My only other suggestion would be to nag BC'er Gareth, who owns Legion's old sunburst TF fretless if i am not mistaken
I may drop him a speculative PM... (Edit: not interested in selling sadly)
If you really need one urgently, you're more than welcome to borrow mine. I'll need it back by next Thursday though as we have a gig the following day
That's a very kind offer. I'm okay for this weekend's gig though.
 4. Surprsie surprise, neither of those shops actually have stock
 5.
Indeed, IIRC the TF comes in white also? Re PJ, I used an East P-Retro in my old 70's fretted Precision and got tone very close to a J-PUP without having to mod anything. It's an option?
Yes, white and amber are the fretted versions, black and sunburst the fretless.
 6.
Like mine Gareth?
It's okay i guess PHWOAR!!!!!
 7.
Ha ha, how can one be in urgent need of a bass in a certain finish? This sounds like the voice of GAS Gareth (it speaks to me all to often, and strangely, sounds a lot like Clarky) All the best though C PS my '78 FL is sunburst and plays and sounds like a dream...........
We're all as bad as each other Chris. I am not a fan of black basses (the other fretless TF option). Although if I swapped the scratchplate to tort... Yes, yours is lovely indeed, but I fancy the PJ setup (Wateroftyne's video sold it to me!)
 8. Thanks Clarky! I will call them and see if they really have stock now
 9. I am in urgent need of one of these basses in sunburst finish. Does anyone know of any out there in retail land? I already have a post in "Items Wanted", but that was for a straight purchase/trade.
 10.
If I hablve this, would I reach a clean practice volume with my super compact?
Hard to say. Aren't BF cabs very efficient? If so that's a good start. Passive basses should also allow higher gain setting before distotrtion kicks in, but I guess it depends how loud your band is!
 11.
Are the strings Roto's?
La Bellas
 12.
Very tempted, as it might just fit in the Smart.
Fancy a test drive? Might be able to bring it over on Tuesday if the Ashdown lands early.
 13.
I sooooooooo want it but I soooooooooo don't need it Help me out Gareth, drop the price a bit so someone buys it tonight!
Haha Chris, sorry the price is going nowhere
 14.
Have you tried it with the TH500?
Yes Dave, I ran them together at rehearsal last night with the latest cable you made for me. It sounded very good: as I said above, plenty of booty but good punch with a sweet top end from the tweeter.
 15.
I really wish that this would sell! It has been tempting me for far too long! Good luck with the sale bud!
Thanks, but you know you want it. And you aren't that far away either!
 16.
Any sound clips? C
Hi Chris Sorry no, not of this bass yet, but plenty of samples on the Veillette website. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vun_W8gl6GM
 17. ]It is with mixed feelings that I put my wonderful Veillette Archtop fretless bass up for sale. This bass was made for me by Joe Veillette and his team four years ago, and has been my main bass for the whole time since. It’s a beautiful player, it’s so effortless it almost plays itself! The build quality of this bass really is something. The bass is close to mint, but as it's been my main gigging bass it does have a few slight bumps. Full disclosure: the electrics are a bit buzzy sometimes, but it's only very occasional and is probably easy to resolve, I just haven't got around to it (note 29/12/13: since I placed the ad this hasn't happened at all). I also tested relocating the neck strap button to the upper side of the body, so there is a small, filled hole there. New, this bass would be over £3k. I am firm on £2000 plus postage.
 18. I only just bought this, but as I'm stepping up to al all-valve rig I have decided to sell it on. I bought it ex-demo, so it has a few scrapes to the tolex, but everything is in full working order. It throws out a ton of volume and has a really big, full sound. The tweeter is particularly nice, not harsh at all. I’d like £165 collected, but I am happy to post at cost (I have a box for it).
 19.
Tried one of these in the shop is pretty loud actually. If you like driven tube tone this is the baby to grab.
It also has a very nice clean tone...
 20.
Is there much difference between the 300 and 100 beyond power?
Exactly the same features, just power/weight difference.
 21.
When is the CTM100 due for you then? If it is anything like my CTM300, it will be awesome! Looking forward to seeing your video review of it!
I had hoped it would be here Friday, but probably next week now as the bank messed up the transfer
 22.
You mention a custom casing? What about it is custom?
Nothing, it was a response to OBBM's joke about using a chain saw to trim it to fit my cab!
