1. Great heads these. Lots of power and tons of clean headroom.
2.
Wouldn't the upper harmonics be handled by the 'treble' control though?
To an extent, but my understanding of this, and I'm no expert, is that usually the Presence control won't be as interactive as a treble control is on the mids and lows.
3. Upper harmonics I'd imagine. Probably a HPF for most?
4. Soak it in a little tub of lighter fluid overnight. Obviously keeping the room well ventilated and avoid any naked flames! Worked a treat on a 71 Precision I had.
5. UKVI rules are increasingly stringent and bureaucratic. She wouldn't have needed a visa, but there was obviously something lacking in her supporting paperwork that meant the border guard didn't like what they saw. You have to feel for her though...
6. Keep it clean. Let your fingers do the talking....
7. Thanks fella, but I have had aboslutely no interest in it, so I am withdarwing it from sale.
8. I have two fantastic Harvest Leather straps for sale. Both are brand new, still with tags and in the plastic wrappers. Made of super soft nappa leather, the straps are 8.5cm wide. You can see all the spec here. These are 40 euros from Germany. I'd like £35 each posted 2nd Class Recorded, or you can collect from central London or NE Hants. Cheers Gareth
9. I sold a strap to Jules. Great comms and a pleasure to deal with
10. I converted to flats about four years ago on all my basses: GHS Precision Flats or La Bella 760FS on fretteds and La Bella nylons on the fretless. Personally, I found Chromes too taught and too bright.
11. Half tempted to get this. It'd be my third. I really must learn to keep stuff Does it have the PSU Nick?
12. I have an American Special, a 2012 honeyburst. The neck is fantastic and it's a great all round bass. Weighs 8.5lb, great balance, beautifully put together, and the hand rubbed stain finish on the alder body gives it a lovely organic vibe. I've made a few mods: Dunlop straplocks, a mint green scratchplate, tug bar, and Hipshot Lollypop HB7 tuners. Really happy with how it's turned out. I posted these pics in another thread, but they're worth showing again
13. I have two fantastic Harvest Leather straps for sale, one in black and the other in brown. Both are in pretty much mint condition, apart from some indentations from the Dunlop straplock attachments. Made of super soft leather, the straps are 8cm wide. They seem identicala to me, but I've added links above as, according to the Harvest Leather site, they are slightly different. These are 45 euros from Germany. I'd like £30 each posted 2nd Class Recorded, or you can collect from central London or NE Hants. Cheers Gareth
14.
Hope you dont mind Gareth.
I don't mind at all Brian, but you are barking mad to sell this amp!!!!!
15. Hi guys, sorry for making this such a big deal! The old p/g and the body both have holes drilled, but whoever did it obviously used too big a bit! Not a problem for the body, which was plugged and redrilled, but I want to make sure I get the new p/g holes correct. Thanks again for all assistance. Gareth
16.
Right, just removed the tug bar from my 75 to have a look. A 3/32" drill bit is what you want. In metric I think approx .8mm
Thank you!
17. That's a great looking bass at a very keen price.
