1. Thumptastic! What a glorious piece of work. Just don't take it outside when it's snowing, or you'll never find it. Congrats.
2.
Without pictures it won't have happened
Damn right. Although from what I've seen on telly, naturists are very often either emaciated lunatics or sagging wolfhounds.
3.
Move on man... Don't worry about it. I got the sack from a band when they landed quite a considerable support slot with a notable band on their big comeback tour. They decided they wanted to get their friend back in (who had quit the band and led to me being auditioned to join) incase they hit the big time. They played the gigs, nobody cared, nobody has heard from them since.
I believe this is what they call 'poetic justice'

A few more pics to hopefully help remember him with a smile: Those trousers are a fashion statement. The statement reads: "I bought these at gunpoint". 'Roundabout'? More of a staggered T junction ALERT! ALERT! IMMINENT CREDIBILITY FAILURE!
6. Yes, incredibly it's still going. Not for much longer though.
7. Yes. Yes. Curse you, sweet soft cookies, with your heavenly chewiness and your bits of chocolate and stuff, for you have taken my waist from a 34 to a... well, rather more than a 34.
8. Oh, it was comedic genius. A mirthful tour de force. It reminded me of 'Allo 'Allo, but without the subtlety.
9. That's one to look forward to. Let's hope it's a bit better than 'Rhapsody In Glue' though.
10. When I saw Genesis on their Mama tour in 1984, Mike Rutherford was using a doubleneck gtr+bass Status. In fact, Status made all the guitars and basses used by Daryl and Mike at that gig. Seemed to be quite a promotional splurge. Whatever happened to that doubleneck, I wonder?
11.
I remember when Ray's could be had for the price of a cup of tea used!
Me too. I remember seeing a pre-EB one going for 250 quid and I walked away from it. Arse.

Oh god, this stuff is heartbreaking. Is there anyone here that he didn't help? What a man. Irreplaceable.
13.
Looks like our humour eradication scheme is going well, excellent !
Yay for us right you lot, enjoy your fckin selves or the puppies get it.
14. Rhyming slang. Nah, don't get it. I must be thick or summat. Anyway, that's how we get to be mods and stuff, y'know. No brainpower, but an insatiable desire to bully and pulverise. And once we've strangled a certain number of puppies, we get to be Admins.
15.
We bow to the dictatorship!!
16. Yup, them's the ones... originally had a 2x10 plus 1x15 setup, but after reading all the stuff about having similar sized speakers I took the plunge and did a staight swap of my 210 for the second 115 (with one of our number... really sorry, but I can't remember who. If you're reading this, are you still happy with the 210?). And to my ears, it is loads better as a rig. A much more rounded, warmer sound, but the horns still give all the snap I need when I want it. And they're soooo light too. Love 'em.
17. I reckon it's that Ugly Dog, in human form.
18. A whole herd, in fact... what a beautiful instrument. Am I the only one who thinks it actually looks better with the plainer, more understated Barts on?
19. In October last year, I replaced my beautiful sounding but hugely heavy SWR SM-900 head with Etienne's G-B Shuttle 6.0. Bought a rackmount kit from BassDirect Mark and voila It soon became apparent that the Focusrite compressor was now fairly superfluous -- as fabulous a unit as it is, I found it couldn't really make any improvement to the basic sound of the Shuttle and so there was really no need to keep it. So in January the Focusrite went, to be replaced by a FunkLogic DD-301 Digilog Dynamicator... the best DFA processor money can buy. The contents of the rack now weigh substantially less than the rack itself Some might say it defeats the object of having a lightweight amp, but I disagree... it's sooooo handy having it all permanently connected up in the one rack, as it means all I need to do is stack it all up, plug in the speakers and the 240v, and off I go. It actually takes longer to get the bass de-cased and strapped up than it does to set up the rig AKG SR100 wireless G-B Shuttle 6.0 2 x Nemesis NSP115 1x15" cabs Total rig weight is around 80lbs. Or in other words, 20lbs less than one of my old Peavey 4x10s
20. Thankfully, not all company forums (fora?) are full of arselickers and thought-police. The Eden one is very good.
For a "light the blue touchpaper" moment, try posting that your Ray has lower output from the G string.
Or better yet: "My 'Ray used to have a lower output from the G string. But I fitted a Status neck and SD pickup and Bartolini eq and Gotoh bridge, and now it's great. I encourage everybody with the same problem to do likewise."
21. Shakespeare might have added a few more "hey-nonny"s if he'd written it. And a better bassline.

A few more pics to share. Proud dad I reckon he likes it Arrggh! So many strings! A good day EDIT: on reflection, I think his big smile in the last pic is because he'd just realised that he and Dood were the only guys in the room with any hair.
