1. I use Rotosounds exclusively, but that's my preference. You kind of need to shop around to find what you like best as it's all individual. If you liked the Elixers why not get another set?
 2. Strings are strings, use what ever strings you like the sound of, what do you normally use on other basses? Love my BTB676 as well btw!
 3. Really want to try one of these! From what i've heard they sound really gnarly and ala older Entwistle with the gain cranked a bit!
 4. Really interested in these as well, they sound awesome!
 5. How does the mole sound on bass? Thinking about picking one up to whip some low end back into the sound in some pedal chains, Assuming it does what it says on the tin!
 6.
In a Musicman, yes. The Sterling pickups (and Stingray 5 for a certain period) were ceramic. Much 'middier' and seem a bit hotter. A little more aggression and sizzle. The normal Stingray alnico pups are smoother, less in your face, more traditional. I think if we are talking P basses, it would still be a fairly similar difference.
+1, Cermanic is "harder" brighter, tighter, Alnico (assuming you mean V) is warmer, smoother, deeper, That's a bit vague and obviously it's dependant on pickup, winding and situation etc. Having A-B'd Alinco and Ceramic pickups I'd say yes it's a notable difference. Like the Seymour SMB A vs The SMB D. Alnico/ Ceramic respectively
 7. If only I had the cash this would be ideal, and I love the colour! Best of luck with the sale mate!
 8. What was the brand? Legacy? The strings which were identical to Rotosounds but much cheaper, and someone on here found a Rotosound "checked by" stubb in a packet. If they did those in the gauges I use I'd use them!
 9. Adore Rotosounds, love steels, wear my frets more than my fingers which is still afair amount Have played 3 hour shows with them and not had anything in the way of bleeding fingers (from playing) a few scrapes is about it. I really like the rough feel and love the tone. Downside is due to my favouring of certain areas and sides of the fretboard is my Yammy may need another fret leveling soon!
 10.
Remember that the TU-2 will only mute one of the outputs when you press the pedal. Of course this is moot if you're not going to use it as a tuner.
Yeah thanks for the heads up! I'm going to get an EHX switchblade I think! £20 so not too dear and should do the job nicely but the Boss will certainly do untill I have an extra £20!
 11.
Wouldnt an AB box do this?
That's what I was first thinking, however I realised I know nothing about them... so thought I'd ask as everything I found seemed to say you need things costing a million and one pounds which didn't seem right, which is why I posted the thread!
Sansamp BDDI has a clean out that works as a split, boss tuners have two outputs, wiring in two outputs like the attitude is fairly easy. Loads of pedals have multiple outputs. Some amps have tow inputs you can run a cable from the other one into another amp, like bridging inputs on valve amps.
Thanks Mr.F! Given me some good food for thought! I have an old TU-2 gathering dust our rehersal space, can't believe I didn't think of it sooner, D'oh!
 12.
I picked up a mono version of one of these from Denmark Street a few years back. Rudimentary way of splitting from the bass to two amps, it worked. Cheap as chips. http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_2307wt_1182
Thanks! Would it work by plugging something that into the bass then running a cable from each side work?
The easiest way is probably to solder yourself something like this, maybe 1x female to 2x male http://www.thomann.d...py_2003_pbb.htm
Thanks! I'm not the handiest, but I think I could pull it off, would have no idea what parts to use and where to get them though...
 13.
Have you seen this one? Stunning...
Other than the inlays it's perfect! Not helping buddy Will have one in my home some day...
 14. Hey guys! I'm starting to mess with multiple rigs again, but untill now, I'd either be able to borrow splitter boxes or split to 2 Amps using the two outputs of my Yamaha Attitude, I don't know much about about it and most of the gear I've borrowed seems really pricey and i'm on a tight budget. Anyone with any experience with the lower end of the market stuff or know any tricks? I'm looking to split the signal from my bass into two paths running down seperate pedal chains each into their own amp. Thanks in advance! AC
 15. I've never heard a Warwick I've not liked at least half of the sonds on it, Not gotten my hands on one though, Though also never seen a Warwick which was right enough AND affordable enough for me though I can only dream a Custom Shop 6 string Vampyre
 16.
can't believe nobody's mentioned Hendrix's All Along the Watchtower
Indeed! Another +1 For the Johnny Cash Hurt orginally by the Nine Inch Nails http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-F8OzZWqlA&feature=fvwrel Is one of my favourite covers of all time, gives it a different feel but the orginal is equally brilliant! And a great take on the fiddle solo by Billy Sheehan!
 17. Can't really say much as don't have any experience but this may help: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URLfTd8-Nsg&lc=Maut3oMUj75uMDRAgRaFK70Hn5hV-SKENaL_6I-rdRg&feature=inbox
 18. Does anyone know where the title comes form? Only thing I could think of was Jane Eyre...
 19.
Ampeg's 32x10 beast, actually works too, as does the giant SVT on top. Liam
Actually it's a 36x10! And the Giant SVT CL is 800W all valve I believe, or 1000W I was given the specs for them ages ago haha!
 20. What you got your eye on man? Will be sad to see this leave Aberdeen, one of my favourite basses up here it's LUSH!
 21.
You could just split the signal on the pedalboard. I do.
+1 Wouldn't say it's worth the hassle. If you like your sound, and your sound with effects, and like them together and want that all the time, split the signal with a splitter box, and just run two rigs. Unless you're determined by the active and passive thing, then you'd need to think very carefully about pickup type, pickup placement etc. I find the dual rig sound with effects can sound very odd unless you account for lacking areas in the overall sound. For example, with my Attitude, if I use distortion the P-pup and run the neck clean it sounds like it's lacking fullness and has too much in all the wrong areas. (My taste and 2 pence) Though when running the pickups seperate (when I do, which is rare) I use 3 rigs, 2 clean (one for each pickup) and one effected (P pickup) That said, I like the sound of both pickups together and running two rigs, both with both pickups together one clean one effected.Using both outputs, which is possible due to the wiring of the Attitude.
 22. 5 Pages and no one has mentioned Kasabian?! Kasabian - Club Foot
 23.
I had to strip one for a customer once. That sh*t is about 2.5mm thick ... I find wee bits of sage around the workshop all the time. Although no one agrees with me, I'm sticking to my guns - maple board and a mint plate.
Would look the buisness! I'm with ya man!
 24.
Well the Attitude Ltd 2 should be officially sold by the end of today, just need to find the BB714BS a new home now......................anyone want to give this lovely bass a home?
I do, but can't afford to! Cracking basses though, best of luck with the sale!
 25.
For what its worth guys i have a BB714BS in black like this one and its the bass i have been searching for for ever! I had an attitude but my little w***ing spanners hurt from playing the neck....it is designed by Mr Sheehan who has hands like frigging shovels FFS!...anyhow the 714BS is everything sound wise that the attitude is without the strained hands! I get feedback on mine which is pretty sweet! I am looking to buy another one, but i want the red one ..... and im gonna put a trem on it ) cos im a sick muthafukka hahahaha Good luck with the sale and, i repeat the BS is an exploding rock rhinocerous of a bass........
His hands aren't THAT massive man Wrist positioning has to change alot to compensate for the 'tude though. The BB714BS is a great bass. Nails the woofer-ier early Attitude tones!
