1. The Fodera price is reduced to XXXX€ shipped, but I can't change it on the price or trade value of the first post.
2. I used mine with a Markbass F1 and sounded good, but with a Thunderfunk 750 was awesome!
3. Bought a Sei Original from Karl, and the bass is exactly as he described, and was very well packed. The comunication was very quick and easy, Karl is extremely kind, was a pleasure make a deal with him.
4. Bought a very nice bass from Juande, it was very easy and the bass was well packed. Thanks!
5. Two of my favourites (and pretty different): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZcnyjTbcL8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyWJCd1GYhw
6. This bass was mine for a year or so. It sounds very good, and very solid for weight only 3,9kg. All Foderas I tried or owned played and sounded very good, but the price of one new it's very high, at least for the economy that we have in Spain... Enjoy it!
7. I bought one of these some years ago from ebay. I think I paid 250€ for it new, but I don't remember exactly. It sounded ok for the price, and the pickups and harware were very cheap but functional. The worst thing was the wood, was not dried or was very soft, the screws couldn't be tightened...
8. Hi! First, if you like one bass how sounds now, don't change anything... And the modifications generally go well when you know what are you trying to achieve. Personally I like Bartolini, but I think they tend to work better with heavier basses, with hard woods or a bass that sounds harsh in the highs. In a bass that already sounds round and warm, maybe it's not the best option. I'm talking about the original series, I didn't tried CB series
9. This comparision is good, but to be fair, without the same setup and strings is not much precise. I'm the owner of two basses of these comparision (the Fodera and the 65' jazz bass), and are the only two basses with 40-100 strings, very old (one year) and with a extreme low action (E string 2mm and G string at 1,2mm at 20th fret). All the other basses had higher action (some near 1cm at 20th fret), and a bass sounds bigger with more action. Having said that, the diferences in the recording are subtile, with every bass you can go to a studio and sound good, in my opinion. What is very different, is the sensation, the responsiveness, the force necessary to generate sound, etc. In this aspect, the 62' was awesome, the 65 is very good, the Fodera and the 70s fenders too, and others not too much. The SX was hard to play for my taste, but is a very decent bass.
10.
Hi how about Fodera Monarch New Standard with bolt on neck, mahogany body with burl maple top, EMG p&j pickups ,New Mike Pope preamp with four band eq and passive tone etc... Bass is in very good condition and it's from 2004. Greetings from Finland -Mikko
Hi Mikko! Thanks for the offer, but I need a fat sounding bridge pickup, so I need single coil in 60's position or dual coil pup... The first pic is not mine, is from austinbasstraders.com, were I bought the bass...
11. This bass was ordered by me. The fingerboard is rosewood and the tone block is alder. It's light too, at 8,5 lbs.
12. Thanks for the comments! Yesterday I bought a bass that was mine years ago, so I can't accept trades unless is a Fodera with 60' pup spacing, or a fretless jazz bass (with the same pup spacing).
13. Hi all! I'm selling this Fodera Emperor: It's a 1997 Fodera Emperor bolt-on, alder body, 21 frets brazilian rosewood fingerboard, Norstrand nj4 (single-coils) in 70's position (one of the originals died and I changed them), drop-D tuner, and the updated preamp, with a switch to change the EQ points (two different highs, mids, and lows). The width at nut is 39mm, weights 4,0kg, and it can be adjusted with ridiculous low action. I had at least 8 Fodera, and this is the best of all for me. The slap is awesome, much more Marcus than it can seem. The bass is in good condition, it have some wear, but nothing important. The only thing to say is that have a ding at the bottom. I think it was refretted at Fodera shop, but I'm not sure. The frets are like new, and the neck is perfectly straight. Was purchased to Glenn at Austinbasstraders.com I'm selling cause I use a lot the bridge pup alone, and I preffer it at the 60's position. I'm not capable of rout this bass to move the pickup, so I want sell it, it hurts me see it unplayed... More pics (the nices ones are from Austinbasstraders.com): http://s296.photobuc...r?sort=3&page=1 Here's a track recorded on studio, direct to the desk. 14.
As far as I know Gerald Marleaux was an apprentice of Andy Schack....that might explain a few similarities in their designs for instruments, electronics etc. Btw: Very nice bass, my main instrument for quite some time was also an older Betra (neck through, different woods & pu/electronics config though). Those Betras balance and play extremely well and weigh next to nothing! I miss mine...
Thank you, didn't know that! Bump!
