1. anyone come from newport want to give me, my jcm800 and my bass a lift?
2. defo a 3 pin bulgin. they're good at starting fires. i think they can only take 50 watts of power if i remember correctly
3. BUMP re 4x12. it's a guitar cab. i've put my bass through it and it doesnt handle the bass. also stevie d you can put what you like in it. and i wont deliver i cant be arsed. also i haven't had a chance to look at what drivers they are as i've been moving (again).
4. i've always fancied one of these
5. or get a cheeky Wal on the go. the tone from his vintage jazz he has been using defo doesn't suit the chili's.
6. the new flea basses so disgusting. i feel sick when i see one. also people who prefer the John Frusciante written californication are off their heads. the Flea written OHM is so much better. also since John Frusciante rejoined he has ruined RHCP. he's an idiot and they are a different band.
7. my emg with no pots sounds so much better than the passive SD QP i had in it
8. arent the new tuners hipshot ultralites? fender pickups are always poor imo
9. volumes and tones are for show offs
10.
Aw I waa hoping i was going to be the first Barefaced 8x10
same here
11. new yes used i'd say no
12. i'd love a jag but the mod's i'd do to it makes it nearly pointless
13. me on the last and only tour i did with the band i played geetar in
14. see if gak will send a new set but tbh i see it as the same as buying a drum kit. they all have show skins on so you buy new ones when you buy the kit.
15. i had a USA jazz deluxe and it was such a nice bass but it sounded rubbish because of the eq. it kept draining the batteries for some reason. as for passive pickups and active pre. i'm down with that but i sure as hell love my EMG in my pbass without an EQ. i have however been considering getting the out board sadowsky or aguilar pre's. which one is better?
16. i was going to say verbzilla
17. i was going to say verbzilla
18. i think nothing will happen. i can't see how this is a problem for Fender or Rickenbacker, you still have to buy the bass to be able to replace the parts. Should they then send out C&D's to the pickup maker who make them to fit Fenders and Rics?
19. and on a custom shop bass posted on this forum in the '66 slab thread
20. no gibson just stuck his name on it
21. trace v-type 1x15 marshall 8x10, ashdown abm pre, crown poweramp, aphex comp, marshall 8x10, EBS 350HD marshall 8x10, Sunn 300T break for guitar wilderness year ashdown abm 500 and no cab marshall JCM800 and no cab i'm now wanting an ampeg 8x10 split in stereo or 2 6x10's 200 watt plus valve head that can do 8ohms for stereo rig. then i'll have my prototype amp next year as well
22. mark hoppus, matt bellamy, tom delonge, steve bailey, kurt cobain, stu hamm, zakk wylde les paul didnt design the LP just came up with the idea using a hollow guitar and putting a plank of wood down the middle. if i had a sig bass it would be a fender slab sunburst body with a badass 2, EMG PA in cream, tort guard, P size geddy neck, hipshot ultralites. no controls at all
23. i blame the ashdown cabs.
24.
Hi... I wonder if anyone has used these guys to buy grey market jap Fenders? I really have to own one of the basses they have on there. It's a 70's Jazz, 'old lake placid blue' with matching headstock, with the covers etc, or the Teal...or both. But, is £999 a bit steep? What's the general opinion? Thanks Trav
blame the exchange rate
