i own one bass. so i take one bass. i'd take one bass if i owned two.

It powers up and goes into some kind of error mode with multiple lights on and no sound. Contacts etc have been cleaned etc

I was always told that they didn't have a bassist and tbh I never bothered to look into it. I didn't mean that stoners aren't allowed to listen to them haha. I just meant they lean more toward death and experimental metal.

Meshuggah aren't a stoner band and nor are they fuzzy. Also as far as I'm aware they haven't had a bassist for a long time and all the 'bass' is from their eight string guitars going through whatever hi gain amps they use. I'd suggest a valve head and something to really take the gain up another level. Maybe a Proco Rat? I'm not up on my hi gain bass distortion pedals anymore. I found a Line 6 DM4 good for a few different distortion emulators.

I liked the svetlana's I had in my Sunn. Get some JJ's in the pre.

What make are the stock valves?

It was powered up when the water got spilt. I think it may just be the EPROM chip that's gone.

I'm literally asking if there are any common mods where the general consensus is that it makes the amp sound even better.

I don't have one (yet) but I was wondering if there were any common swap outs mainly for the pre.

Any good valve swapouts pre/power that'll make it sound better?

it's water damaged from someone mysteriously spilling a load of water on it. are Line 6 helpful and is it worth getting repaired?
