1. Really? Do you perchance have a spare one? Is the 1024 not great then?
2. The most evil looking jazz bass in the world!
3.
Might be selling a 2024x soon? I have 2 identical 2024x's (both white), but one is just a gigging spare, which seems such a shame as its never used. Would be about £1400? Thanks for the offer Bob but that's twice the amount of money I have, I'd love the 20 though. Bob
4. Having sold my stingray I have a space in my stable, I've always fancied a BB and I think the new ones with the scratch plates look amazing, only problem is I've never played a modern one. From what I can tell theres not much to go wrong, bolt on, string thru, p/j pickups out of the 2024 tick all the right boxes for me as a rock player but better safe than sorry. Anyone got a 1024? How do they handle? Would anyone recommend anything else for similar money (about £725 shipped)
5.
Who is that, and who is the bass made by? (If anyone knows! Just a tad curious haha!)
That is someone who should have bought a piano
6. John is a great guy, I hope all your dreams come true!

11. Are you looking for passive trades only? I'd like to offer my black and maple 2eq ray.

15.
Cocco, what do the 2 switches do? series / parallel or split coil?
what he said
16. jesus thats nearly identical! I also have a tele bass but mine's a 51. I think its more a star wars bass players thing than a T-40 fan Boba Fett fan thing to be honest.
17. I'd like a musician too, and a blazer, and a roadstar........

Agents

Agents are evil, the music industry is evil. I really despise the term "music industry" music isn't an industry, it's a form of art.
19. I know own a toaster and a blade, Incase anyone was wondering it is definatly worth owning both, they aren't worlds apart but theres a very noticeable difference. I can't find the words to sum it up but I love both for different reasons.
20.
I really dig the vibe of these basses - maybe Peavey should reissue it ?!
I have to agree. I think they'd have to be expensive if they were reissued though, all that ash and metal wouldn't be cheap I don't think. Anyone remember when they were being built? were they expensive?
21.
It is a shame. When I found out that this is not what a T40 is supposed to look like, I was a bit annoyed. I may be on the prowl for a body, just to get it up to code. Interesting fact that the rosewood necks are not as common.
Flat Eric on here has a fairly extensive collection of T-40s and parts. maybe it would be worth sending him a message? I know he's having a clear out at the moment too. I'm pretty sure he'd have a body.
22. Thats a real shame! Rosewood necked ones are hard to come by. I also have a 78 toaster. Both are great basses for different reasons.
23. Bought a T-40 off Flat Eric, He kept the bass for me until I could comfortably afford it, it came well packaged and in perfect nick. A true gent. One of the good guys to be sure, also check out his blog if you get the chance.
