1. Hi guys, Im getting married next august (2013) in cardiff and have been charged with booking a great band. Can anyone recommend one? anyone in a wedding band? We'd be looking for an entertaining rock based sort of an act. Songs by The Beatles, The Who, Oasis, Kings of Leon, The Stones, The Cure etc would be along the right sort of lines, tongue in cheek rocked up covers of pop songs would be a bonus too. What would be even better is if someone could do us a whole entertainment package with a DJ aswell. Myself and my fiance both want live music but we have to cater for everyone obviously. Thanks Ash
2. Good lord that's a lovely looking bit of kit.
3. I hate you all, I have some serious ricky GAS now
4.
The blackstar looks better than jetglo to me
+1 that looks positively EVIL
5. Jetglo for me, but only because mapleglo wasn't an option
6. I adore the sound of P basses, but I've never found one thats right for me, so for the moment I'm loving my T-40s
7.
BC Rich did much the same over the period - the neck plates were marked "LA California" despite being imports, so you get the odd EBay expert insisting they have a US-built bass from Nagoya, Japan (New Jersey, right?)...
Psssh some people. Although Pointy P/Js FTW
8. Ryan is one of the good 'uns, deal with confidence
9. I've always fancied an original iceman, is this a newer one?
10. Thats the one, having played it it is indeed US according to the neck plate which reads San Dimas California (although I thought these were fender built?). It's a nice bass and were it not for the price tag I'd tear their arms off. The tone and build quality/feel is to die for!
11. There's a blue and maple one of these with SDs in a local music shop for £600!
12. Last night I dreamed I bought this and put a set of model Js, a black scratch plate and the neck off my 51 RI on it.
13. I've always fancied a 6er. I didn't like my 5er though. There's just something about them
14. I really like this. Shame I'm not a 5 player.
15. I sort of miss this bass. I have a 51 RI that I'm not playing too..... Mmm
16. Looks like a lot of bass for £400!
17. I'd like to get my hands on a passive fury should one ever come up, there's another one I fancy the look of too, patriot maybe?. I have two T-40s that I'm completely besotted with and would like to know if them building it was more luck than judgement or not.
18. Sorry bro, my T-40s aren't going anywhere fast, I'm literally planning on being buried with them at this point in time If it could grow a moustache, it would have handle bars.
19. If it could talk, it would say "Hello Cleveland".
20. It's nearly as 80s as my white aria SB II Elite. It just screams SPANDEX!!!!!!!????
21. Good luck brother. I quite like the cut of its jib.
22. I briefly went active, then I went back. Passive and valves is the way for me
23. Having recently bought an 80s Ibanez I can vouch for the quality and playability. Oh and the spades of TONE! I'm not much of an active player but the passives are great!
24. Good lord! Why did I have to buy that blazer? This is amazing. I'd love a second one.
