Only recently got this - have always wanted one, but again I have to admit that short/medium scale basses are not for me. The gutting thing is, it’s gorgeous, very playable action wise and very light. Will come with Flats and a brand new set of d’addario rounds in a box. Looking for trades... Predictably, Yamaha BB’s fit the bill for me...but deffo 34” 4 string basses. show me what you’ve got though - not currently in a position to add much. -

New d’addario’s too 😂 there’s a lot more bottom end on the recording, the phone picked up a lot more of the “clack” in the room.

414 was used for the scratch bass in the guiding - but since I changed the bridge from schaller to Wilkinson I haven’t had chance to do a proper setup and it was a bit buzzy on a higher run. Rather than whip out the tool kit I just deferred to the 614.

Totally unmodified...well, apart from the pickguard. I had it set flat (as in basically a 414). Then pushed the bass a tiny way over centre for a more chilled track, and then on the funkier/faster track with slap pushed the treble a tiny bit. sounds great on a rough mix etc.

@warwickhunt yeah. I do...let me count my pennies. will have to flog some bits on, don’t think I got anything like what you’re after for mine which explains why I bought a car on finance 😂

I had it when I wasn’t in a band, and on its own I didn’t enjoy it as much as my jazz - I also had to buy a car at the time so it went to that fund.

Well, booked in the studio tomorrow from 10am, it ain’t coming with me... played the BB 614 for an hour before and I think that and the jazz will do it.

Nowt’s changed, I usually just go for a Wazz in a busy pub toilet if I want blokes I don’t know to laugh at my smaller equipment...
