These crop up only once in a blue moon - so Jumped on it as I’m doing lots of remote recordings for a singer/songwriter who asked if I had a DB... I recorded with my fretless J and it sounded great. But missing a bit of that thud.
Was planning on a fretless neck for my 75p, and then before I knew it - offers to buy came in and one person in particular absolutely deserves it (YOB etc)
As this was going on - just had a quick look online and found this.
”collection only” bah...In Bristol. “hang on @Cuzzie is in Bristol and we talk regularly” i thought ...asked the question...GO!
It’s a 1991 ish Fender Japan PBAC-100fl. Catchy eh?
About to be collected by DPD to arrive in the next few days.
A beauty either way - look very slick. Also saw Jerry Barnes with Chic last summer - his model (I think based upon this) sounded epic.
Very nice bass - good price too!
I’ve just typed a big long answer.
Then re-read the OP and realised I’d suggested things I had to pretend didn’t exist.
as @Steve Browning states - get a nice mic in front of the cab. Although it’ll only be on one cone, so you may as well have the equivalent 210...or even a 110.
And in the time it’s taken to edit that - you’ve said it’s not the option.
It seems counter intuitive, but skip entering dimensions on the first section - UK to UK should be €15 or something.
then when you put that it’s over 1m, it should allow you to enter your own dimensions and stay at about €15
@Bridgehouse I defretted a G4M 5 string acoustic bass a good few years ago.
It came out so well - I was really proud of it. I then sold it to a guy who’s still gigging it with a jazz trio.
I have bucketloads of pictures and hints if you need them. I also have some rosewood which worked amazingly well for filling the slots - should you need it.
It could happen - I’ve just replied to a PM asking for a sale/shipping in UK.
A recent sale to Europe cost about £70 insured just as reference. That’s using Eurosender/DPD.
