The Yamaha was based on the AES guitar. suppose the BEX4c was the closest bass.

Spitfire seems to have cornered that market. What I’d do is figure out how to do it at a more reasonable price. But as spitfire seems to be a bit of a lone wolf...they command near vintage prices.

I dunno. Atelier Z and a few other Japanese builders have done s/MM/s J basses before, and while he’s not the slickest bass player I’ve ever seen - he’s no slouch. Initially it sounds a bit dead, but when he’s describing the 3 pickups, switching and Pre, it sounds great - lots of useable sounds. visually, quite cluttered...but sounds great.

Well yeah, I read back over this thread earlier today. Ive gone through more band members than basses in 2020 - isn’t that shocking? 😂
