Personally I'd go for the CV. They get good right ups and there are members, like Bass5, who think they're the dog's wotsits (with a bit of tweaking). Great mod there Bass5.

maxrossell on here was on about using guitar amps instead of bass amps once I think. But it may have had something to do with refusing to pay out for extra equipment.

Bloke I went to college with, I can only remember his first name it is Christopher, is something of an important bod at the Royal Opera House. I'm not really a Fender man but they do look gooooood. My eldest (5) has just said that he'll lend me the money to get the red P with the black scratch, it's his favourite, apparently black is a bit dull.

Definitely one to consider. I was invited to an acoustic jam session recently and that sort of thing would fit the bill and come in handy for other things. EDIT: Just checked with Mrs M. Apparently I won't be getting one.

I'm happy with my current bass, it suits my needs. But I'm not 100% happy with it. It's a fine instrument for the money and would recommend one if anyone asks. Sometimes it just lacks a little something. If I were to be gigging regularly I would probably look for a different bass, but would try my hardest to find one that was as close to 'ultimate' as possible. I don't get GAS, because I think an instrument is better or out of desire just to have it. I tend to invent 'valid' reasons as to why I need to have a different bass. These have so far been shot down in flames through the application of common sense and the intervention of Mrs M.
