1. Just flicked through a few reviews on YT, and I've got to say it seems mighty impressive. For the price I would seriously consider this.
 2.
Basschat isn't going to be encouraging more guitarists to join.
Good, we don't need their sort around here. With their extra strings, strumming, funny chords. There's simply not enough room for them anyway, they'd use up all the forum space and take services away from indigenous musicians. We must stick together against this: Basschatters, Not for multi-instrumentalists Party. (or the BNfm-nP) Join today I say. Oh dear I think I've just had a funny turn, I'm off for a lie down.
 3. Welcome. Have fun.
 4. Did someone mention reverb? I'm a reverb tart, love it. Should be made law that there must reverb on everything. As with aresnic and urb and as I've alluded to before I like your solo stuff (as does Mrs M, she has impeccable taste, married me after all). EDIT: I can't really comment on the mix and so forth, I've listened to them through my iMac and the speakers are quite frankly awful and tinny.EDIT As a tune, I probably prefer Sun Shine. Great stuff. Cheers
 5. According to Dr. M. Stoppard's glorious Family Health Guide, which was lovingly given to myself and the good lady M by her mother, CPT.. "...occurs because the soft tissues within the carpel tunnel swell and press on the median nerve at the wrist. Such swelling may occur during pregnancy, as part of rheumatoid arthritis and after a wrist fracture. It may be a feature of RSI. In most cases there is no clear-cut cause." Splendid. Hopefully we are no further forward with that one. I've just reassessed my thumb position, and as I thought it's all over the place.
 6.
They always say it helps in any job application if you can prove you are a well-rounded individual with extra-curricular interests.
That's me out of the running then
 7. Good grief! You must have a separate house to store all those in surely. My personal faves are the Spectors. Pop one down anytime you like Mighty impressive, all of it.
 8.
The one you like the most.
Good call, like your thinking. I'll second that.
 9. Where can one pick up an application form, or is it CV's and covering letter only?
 10.
I saw them play on saturday. The bass player's tone was absolutely bollock shaking. I took a look at his pedalboard later, there was a looper of some sort, controlling loads of pedals which were behind some perspex. The perspex wasn't exactly polished, and my vision wasn't exactly focussed. Can anyone tell me what he uses?
That's rather pleasing to hear! (sorry about the unintended pun). I haven't got to see them live, but on the latest album when the bass player starts up on 'Goliath' he sounds like he's unleashed a wild animal. Would love to hear that live.
 11. The string directly above, but is subject to change at a moments notice. Like Bassasin, self taught and probably poor.
 12. A hearty good welcome to you. May you enjoy your journey into basschat.
 13.
It was f'ing awesome... Sorry! I'd gonas far to say I'd put it in my top 10 of all time :-)
Don't be sorry. Great to hear that they are a damn good band live. It would probably grate a little if you said they'd sucked Good to hear you had a good time, just wish I live closer to the live 'circuit'.
 14. Ibanez Promethean You may also wish to consider one of these.
 15. A lot of stuff crammed in there. More importantly though, how was the gig? No, in actual fact don't tell me I'll just get depressed
 16.
ahh I get you. Looks like you're another suffering Basschat addict Join the club!
The irony is my addiction has intensified since this thread appeared
 17.
I'd guess it goes by the last 24hours and looking quickly at your post history you've posted in: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=80248&hl= http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=80605&hl= http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=80633&hl= http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=80540&hl= http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=80711&hl= http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=12220&hl= http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=80572&hl= http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=80661&hl= http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=80441&hl= http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=80629&hl= all not in off topic so there's gotta be about 12 posts in there somewhere. Thread whore
Blimey! You're right I am a thread whore, there I've admitted it
'Off Topic' doesn't count towards your post count...
That was my point. I thought I'd spent my time on off topic which doesn't count so couldn't work out why my post count was so high. Now I know why thanks to Josh3184. I must go now
 18. How does the post count thing work then? I've spent the last few hours ars1ng about on 'Off Topic' but according to the count I've posted 12 times today! Surely not
 19.

Are you the love child of Victor Meldrew or have you had to work at being this miserable? Disco is Good
 20.
Glad you got away without too much damage..! Years ago we were doing a gig in a theatre. The Singer / rhythm guitarist thought he'd be very cool during an instrumental by leaning against a curtained wall on the side of the stage. Only, it wasn't a curtained wall. It was just a curtain. He disappeared into the inky blackness of a storage area, landing on a pile of theatrical detritus with a comical crash. Ouch.
One shouldn't laugh I know but you've described it so well.
 21.
Shh, the music to 'And i'm telling you' is really good
22.
Glee Cast - Defying Gravity
You should be ashamed. I'm not one to diss people's choice in music usually, but that is just beyond the pale.
 23.
Amy MacDonald, 'Mr Rock'n'Roll'
Very good album as well. Listened to the new one last night, and it's not that good. I was rather disappointed.
 24.
i once walked into an estate agent (a really small, shoddy, no business estate agent in a quiet bit of swansea) to hold open the door for a rather badass looking old man wearing 3/4s and a hat... who apparently was Robert Plant. i'm fairly sure bonnie tyler keyed my mates car (he left it outside her drive for a minute when we were unloading some stuff for a skate comp on the sea front, came back and it had been totally keyed!) i served charlotte church and gavin henson in boots, twice within the space of 5 minutes (he forgot to buy batteries) and failed to recognise either of them on both occasions (much to the amazement of all of my colleagues). oh and once i walked into the hospital for some clinical lecture and jo whiley was doing her morning broadcast from a table in the foyer... about 10 other students gathered to watch her and we almost managed to put her off (accidentally! we were just curious) live on radio one... i waved and i'm fairly sure she flicked the bird at me
What else were you wearing? Or was it just the boots? Flicked you the bird? I need to get out more or buy a book on modern terms used by young folk.
 25. Completely different I know, but the SR300 I have is made from Agathis and it sounds great.
