  1. Have you looked at your attachment quota? go to settings > account > my attachments and see if you need to delete some old stuff to make room
  2. I was thinking all the way through reading that ‘the noble is the way’ until the last line.😂🤣 You are about to get everyone’s personal choice thrown at you. a few I know work well and suited my choice are: The GK Plex has some good sounds in it when you get it set up, it also has a compressor and dirt included which work reasonably well enough to drop pedals off your board. If it’s tube your after you can pick up a Dave Hall preamp/DI you won’t find one brand new as Dave is no longer with us but secondhand there are some great prices on his units and they sound wonderful.
  3. What they do is called ‘dropshipping’ it’s used in a lot of places not just eBay, usually through trade suppliers though. Mostly on eBay they wait for something to be reduced in price at end of line or clearance sales maybe on Amazon and list it at just cheaper than full retail, when people go on eBay looking it’s slightly cheaper than they’ve seen it elsewhere, a lot of the sellers don’t make a lot on the item, but sell hundreds of them and it’s easy money. They also sometimes add high postage costs for a few extra pounds
  4. Mooer are a popular brand, they’re labelled as pedal switch toppers or bare foot buttons, there are other brands
  5. Clean the switch, see if the contacts are furred or corroded, that would be my first check
  6. Doesn’t matter the reason, any professional company worth their salt will get things proofread. Even more so if your aware of a problem that could affect the outcome of the post. A web presence is the face of your company for many customers nowadays. It’s a shoddy post no matter how you look at it. Should it make a difference, that’s not the point, it does make a big difference to many people. It smacks of an unprofessional, uncaring attitude.
  7. Ahhh the Hamer B12A now there’s a bass I’d buy 😄
  8. I’ve been looking at the Herricks lately so interested to see how they perform before I pull the trigger
  9. The little guitar shop in Birmingham can rewind the pickups. Not sure of prices but I’ve heard good things about their work
  10. Personally I’d be looking at long scale instruments, you’ll find a much larger spectrum of styles and tones available at a beginner price. There are sone excellent short scale instruments at a reasonable price but the variety is limited. The bonus of a short scale is of course when he’s back on the pitch you can have it as a spare 😄 I don’t think he’d struggle with short scale, he doesn’t know any difference and it’s still larger than a normal guitar. Find out his musical tastes and take it from there.
  11. Knipex you get what you pay for 😄
  12. “1995 Warwick SS1 Broadneck 5 f/l. Offers before I burn it.” pictures or it didn’t happen!! 😄 I do hope it sells glwts
  13. They were inspired by the Concord supersonic plane
  14. I have a Burns flyte guitar I’m rebuilding. The Mach one humbusters are original to the bass but it looks like a refinish due to lack of decals. The most popular colours were silver (there was a problem with the paint and they turned green) and natural finish. Slade had a bass (recorded on at least one track) and guitar, also Marc Bolan was pictured with one Heres a link for more info https://www.hendrixguitars.com/Va484.htm
  15. You should look for a PJB HA-1 Bighead. The latest model is the HA-2 and I’ve seen HA-1’s go for as little as £60 secondhand. The tone is really top notch, they recharge from mains and last hours on the internal battery. You can also hook your phone through them so you can play along with media.
  16. From what I can gather the lot was sold as a collection and went for the princely sum of £3,300 it was 1992 though, you could get a Wal down the pub for £50 off some hard up muso 😂🤣 oh for hindsight…
  17. Buy a reasonable quality bass you can get your money back on and go on a bass journey. One in one out it becomes quite addictive. Sometimes they stay awhile Sometimes they don’t have time to let the tubes warm up in the head but it’s a fun side hobby to the Wals.
  18. Here’s a listing from Christies The 1968 tele bass was the first reissue that fender produced
  19. Thanks for all the suggestions for gig bags. I ended up with a Gator Pro go guitar bag, Stingray fits a treat. plenty of storage pockets and waterproof too.
