1.
Congratulations on a great-looking bass. I am really feeling the love for my own Limelight at the moment! It was sold to me as a ’63 replica but I think the neck profile is more like a ’59 as it’s quite big & chunky. It’s now got brass saddles and has had chrome bridge/pickup covers added. It’s also currently strung with LaBella flats and sounds nothing short of monstrous (in a smooth kind of way). It's a proper Motown machine!!!
Nice!. I was close to getting an all black precision. Went for purple just to mix it up a bit I thought i'd use it with tone rolled fully on, or fully off. But i like a mix of both, which i was quite surprised at!! Is yours a J profile neck? If so, do you know what it measures at the nut?
 2. Sound of the cab is for your own personal pleasure. Didnt you know?
 3.
It's amazing the number of people who aren't able to correctly tell you what key something is in anyway.
Agreed. Equally painful when they don't tell you if its major or minor
 4. I would guess that 95% of the general public do not give a hoot if the band playing have stands or not. As long as they're a good band and they can hear the singer. Same goes for bass tone, and equipment used etc. I think some make far too big a deal of issues that in general aren't noticed by the people we are mostly playing for. For the record i don't use a music stand, but don't care if someone does
 5.
Sprague Pacer 0.1uF cap cuts more treble (i.e. makes it 'darker') when you roll off the tone control on a passive P. John fitted new CTS pots, Switchcraft Jack and vintage wiring as well because the volume pot had seen better days and I thought while I'm on, I may as well get the lot replaced, thus negating any worries regarding reliability and so on. At least for a good while, anyway.
I thought it was a reliability thing. Good to get confirmation though. The sprague cap mod sounds interesting. Something i will definitely look at. Where or how do you connect it?
 6.
Thanks Karl. Your Road Worn has had the KiOgon treatment and sports an orange Sprague Pacer cap. Lush and velvety! Can also do Thundery!
Little off topic, what does the Sprague pacer cap do? The Kiogon treatment you mean a new wiring harness yes? Again, what does this do? I am genuinely interested too, not trying to start anything
 7.

Blast from the past!! Was this the drink that you pushed through the "tab" at the top rather than have a ring pull? Also, anyone remember the Hubba Bubba cans of pop?
 8. Nice! Nice price too!!
 9.
They build to spec... If what you want matches the specs of the J and P neck they use! I asked about a 50s/60s P neck and they couldn't do it. Things may have changed...
Nah i'm pretty sure it's still the same.
They do build to spec per se, but they use necks made by their supplier, they don't make them themselves.
I thought that might be the case. My Precision was specc'd to have a J neck. It feels bigger than i expected, so i wanted to see how other J necks measured.
 10.
First is my maple P And here is rosewood P with J neck I believe
Thanks, that's really helpful.
 11. They do build to spec yes. I asked for a J neck on my Precision. Just wanted to see what other peoples measured in at
 12. bloody hell Joe, you're almost giving it away!
 13. I was just wondering the neck measurements on your basses. At the nut and at 12th fret, and i would like to get some measurements for both Jazz and Precisions is possible?? I know, so needy
 14. I play guitar in two bands and bass in one. But I'd consider myself a bass player. I had lessons on the bass, so I'm "further along" compared to guitar playing. Probably go that reason I feel much more at home on bass too
 15. Loved it. I haven't seen any of Scott's videos I've disliked though. All his playing is super tasteful.
 16. Well played. Although I'm more than happy for this to turn into a walking dead thread as its one of the only shows I do watch
 17.
Me too! - Thats when the next series of The Walking Dead is back!
October is gunna be a good month!
 18.
Looks ace. Prince tribute?
Ha! Didn't think of it like that, but Yeh, why not?! Haha
 19.
That's exactly what I've ordered. I'll be 40 in October and Mark is currently making me a 1976 precision. I'm going to pick it up from him in October though as it's a gift from all my family so I agreed not to have it sooner. It's all paid for and the wait til October is killing me. Lovely bass FuNkShUi looks brilliant.
Thanks! Yeh that wait would be tough. I had a 9 week wait and that was bad enough
 20.
Lovely work Kert, living about 5 mins from you I'm gonna have to pay you a visit one of these days!
Cheers Lew. Our gigs quieten down in july because our drummer is away for a month so we will sort something out!
 21. Noice. Like that!
 22.
Congratulations, it looks fantastic!

I would never have gone for that colour scheme...but that looks lovely! Congratulations

Very nice. I like the colour.

Cracking bass, and I don' like P basses.
Thanks. I must admit i thought the colour combo would be a bit more "marmite". Seem to have been received quite well though, so i'm pleased Although possibly there are plenty who don't like it and have been kind enough to not comment
 23.
That colour combo is great - like it a lot! Has also got me thinking about a Limelight again as an affordable YOB-alike.
It's definitely an affordable way to do that!
 24.
Well, you can, actually... buy a Limelight bass, sell it, then get massive seller's remorse. Twice.
Well that's happened to me once. It will not happen again. *repeat*
 25.
Nice bass I’m seriously considering getting a Limelight!
Go for it. Can't go wrong really!
