1.
The best of Def Leppard? What am I thinking of?
How is this CD longer than 2 minutes?
2. I think you've already answered the question. Your a very good player and a nice bloke Wayne. You'll be an asset to another band. Hopefully the drummer will follow.
3. I wanted the biggest guitar.
4. Hmmmm. There's going to be a fair bit of jiggery and lots of pokery around the neck pocket. A fillet will need to be made for a gap between the end of the fretboard and the body too. I'm not using a luthier for this but a master carpenter/cabinet maker friend. It may end up with Queen Anne legs.
5. I used cocktail sticks and wood glue. Held for 3 years so far.
6. Was it made in Mexico or crafted in Japan?
7.
The Shergar? Sherg[old bass]g[uit]ar
Well it did die of a broken neck.
8. Shender's better than the alternative. The 'Jazzathon'

"Bum-doctor" to you, chubby cheeks.
10. Looking around at my bits and bobs I've decided it's time to create a monster. Take one very abused Shergold Marathon body add one early 90s Allparts Jazz bass neck and bodge it together. It will require some neck pocket woodworkery but I have a man for that. I have a badass II I can use. Pickup is stone dead. Wonder if a MM sized one will fit? Got some pots and stuff so I'm only really short on a pickup and common sense. What can possibly go wrong?
11. Very nice and I don't normally like J basses. I have his Rickenfaker in white incoming any day now.
12. DI takes up much, much less studio time and nearly always sounds better. I just use my Sansamp BDDI.

Iron Man,Wild Goose! Sounds like a finger up a tin man's backside, doesn't it?
14. Warning. Inappropriate violin bass content.
15. I love marmite. Very cool bass.
16. I have no desire to own a relic but I do see the point. Good ones are like a nice pair of beaten up, worn in 501's. Bad ones are like a pair of stone washed Wranglers with creases ironed in.
17. 40db attenuator at studio spares Voila
18.
a forty db attenuator? Wouldnt that reduce the power to one ten thousandth ? A four db attenuator would reduce it to approx one third of its original power. Unless i have it completely back to front? Its been nearly a decade since I skimmed elctronics at college.
Iknow nothing about electrickery. I do know the DI signal is too hot for a few sound people to deal with at the desk. This cuts down the output to managable levels for them.
19.
I've joined the club...this amp is totally me, love it!
Good stuff. Had Chris Payne of the Members gassing for one after we shared it last gig. The 40db attenuator is a must at only a fiver.
20.
That dude who's got the horn is looking at you.
I think he's saying "You're my wife now Dave...." Well done Mr C. That's a Cecil B DeMille of a band.
21. Just the one. Usually have another band or two on with us so I normally get an agreement in advance that if the worst does happen we can borrow from each other. Never had a problem with a precision on a gig.
22. I'll stick with my Sony MDR's and not pay for a logo. Unless they do Orange ones.
23. A couple of thoughts. You can never have too many lyrics ready. I had a terrible writers block a while back that Old Git got me over. Now I'm churning them out again with the help of some disciplines suggested and one secret one that I've come up with all on my tod. Don't be precious or stubborn about your songs. Of the last 25 odd I've written since this band started in August 09 only 2 have ended up sounding more or less how the original demo did. There's at least half that didn't pass the quality check at all. Some are verses from one choruses from another with lyrics altered beyond recognition fron the original, etc.
24.
perhaps I should stop listening to so much Rush !
This is an excellent way to start.
