1. Thanks for the reply man. I emailed Tascam and they have confirmed that I can use my old adaptor with the BT2. Just need to know now if it's worth it.
2. I've just found out that the BT2 doesn't come with a power supply so that adds about £20-£30 to the equation. I don't know if I can use the power supply for the BT1 as it has a different model number. Sneaky way to keep the price down!
3. I have an ageing (with broken lid) Tascam CD-BT1. I am thinking of upgrading to a Tascam CD-BT2. However, can anyone tell me what improvements the BT2 has over the BT1. I will soldier on with the BT1 if the BT2 is only an aesthetic upgrade.
4. I don't know if it's just me but there don't appear to be any replies to any of the topics on the 'Items Wanted' forum. OOPS! Further investigation has revealed the answer. Sorry!
5. It depends on what your idea of perfect is? A great sounding and playing bass for me is perfect. The neck pocket gap is irrelevant.
6. What's next? The distance between the bottom of knobs and pickguards? If my neck moves then it's a concern. If it doesn't then the neck pocket gap can be whatever it likes.
7. I just don't understand this ongoing subject of neck pocket gap. Did it start with someone mentioning it then another then another so that now it has become an issue. I don't ever remember it being an issue in the past.
8. Great replies. Thanks chaps!
9. OK chaps I'm not often on this forum but have come up against a wee snag whilst setting up my Stingray. The radius is 11" and in my set of gauges go from 10 - 12 without a number 11. Should I use the 10 or the 12 and then go by feel? Any advice appreciated.
10. The reason I'm really asking is that I like the strings and thought I would replace them, when the time comes, with the same set. Unless of course anyone has any other suggestions?
11. Got this used Ray yesterday and am trying to work out what it is strung with. They are roundwounds of some description. Anybody help?
12. I love my p basses. I love the sound and feel of the flats that I use on them. Apparently I am to be pitied for this disgraceful habit. So be it!

Love my USA Sub. This is £450 worth of lusciousness!
14. I must admit that I have never found the need to change anything on any of the Fenders that I own. I like the way they sound just fine. I wonder sometimes if impressionable players get caught up in a 'you need to mod your bass' mindset. I also agree that an amp plays such a vital part in the sound of the bass, a fact that can often be overlooked. However, if a player really feels that a different pup, bridge, etc will make their bass sound the way that they want it to sound then why not?
15. I don't think that it is politic to pass comment on what someone is asking for a bass. The market tends to sort these things out. Can't wait to see the pics! Good luck with the sale.
16. I've gigged in 'Nice 'N' Sleazy' in Sauchiehall Street and had a good time there. Sound guy was very good if he's still there. Have a look: http://www.nicensleazy.com
17. Do you mean the north east of England?
18.
If you don't like how it looks then don't take the cover off. Or buy something else.
As i was reading through this thread the above thought kept coming into my head and then, lo and behold, there it was before my very eyes.
19. These S1 Jazzes are great basses. My son just loves his. Maybe if you posted the bass you might have more luck.
20.
Any bass I can't afford is overpriced.
Excellent!
21. I've noticed of late that quite a few quality basses are put up for sale without the original hard case being part of the deal. I must admit that the lack of the original case for a quality instrument puts me off the sale especially when a poor substitute is offered. I was therefore wondering where do all the cases. Does the original owner sell the case or was the bass bought without the case as part of the deal? Whatever is the case (pardon the pun) I shy away from sales that don't include the original case.
22. Focus was the first gig I ever went to in the 70s. They were just starting out and making a name for themselves. If I recall correctly the gig was in 'Clouds disco' which was located above the old Apollo. It was the first time my ears rang after a gig. I thought that I was never going to hear properly ever again! I'll never forget that gig. I did see the band a few times after that but the first one was special!
23. Did someone say pink?
24. Sorry man. I misinterpreted your post. The head looks like the later type which came in round about 1985. I couldn't make out if it was the earlier or later headstock.
25. Is there a problem with asking for a pic of the headstock?
