  1. This is the best all-round cab I've ever had and I've had a few in my time It's light, loud, deep and punchy. It has castors too...

  9. GULP Joe...mucho grande GULPO actually Jealous of Preston
  10. Thanks Pedro - yeh I understand all that and have tuition material and can do scales and the typical blues bass lines etc, but I want to develop a feel for it and be able to improvise on the hoof, which I think is really important for blues and the books don't do that.
  11. My band might be splitting up soon - it's only a matter of time. We play classic soul and proper RnB and during my time with 'em, I've developed quite a busy, funky bass style. Anyway, there's a bit of a chance I might have an audition for a really good blues band so I thought I'd better start learning some blues and I'm finding it quite hard to play. I haven't been learning stock bass lines - I've just been jamming along to things like EC's Cradle to the Grave trying to get a feel for it. I used to think it'd be a doddle but it's a totally different feel to soul and I find myself doing too much. Any tips blues brothers?
  12. Is there going to be a shedload of gear there? I'm just unsure whether or not to bring my rig with me (Genz Benz GBE750 / NEOX 212 cab). Basswise, I have a Spector Euro 5LX and a Rebop 5 FM Deluxe and I'll bring those too if anyone's interested in trying.
  13. Can't wait to see it Joe

  21. Preston's premiere wedding band is available - PM sent.
  22. I wish I'd taken that one off you now - would have suited me down to the ground - never mind plenty more about. Glad you got sorted
  23. I just soiled myself (he says in an old persons kind of way) - I love that colour
  24. I was offered a really nice relic'd one in exchange for my Darryl Jones - I think that was a PM5 custom, a kind of yellowy colour - should've snapped that one up. I never used to like artificially battered basses but I kinda like them now - I can identify with something old and battered.
  25. Ooh that's nice Matt
