2. Naa, he's a Hotmail boy Si
3. Friend of mine on here tried to sign up to Finnbass and was banned instantly! Odd Si
4.
I would try the hard sell on Trokey, but think buying his 63 P is going to keep him out of the market for a bit! Andrew
Ah we can wear him down haha! Have a bump anyway and good luck with the sale! Hopefully will get to see you play sometime soon! Si
5. Looking great! When was the refin done?, Is that genuine aging or reliced!? Just realised who's this is . Has Trokey played this yet Andrew?.....he's on a buying spree haha, get him to sell his '75RI and have this! Si
6. I'm currently borrowing HappyJack's, three gigs this week, looking forward to it! smile.gif Si
7. What kind of trades are you thinking about for the amp? edit: Just read a list of basses above, anything else you're after? Just wondering I might have my modded OLP Stingray available, pending someone else not wanting it. Bart pickup, East 2 band 18v pre, Schaller tuners Si
8.
nice reivew albeit one has to appreciate that these are personal views biased by your own preference and taste. One man's meat and all that.... p.s.: none of your links work in the first post. Thanks
That's cos I started this thread quite a while ago, it got revived yesterday I think, so I doubt the stock that I originally tried is on the Gallery website anymore!? Si
9. Try the 21frets.com forum, tis a Fender Japan specific website with a LOT of info about the early Squiers and subsequent models. The main website is more about JV's and SQ's etc, but on the forum itself, there's a lot of info about Japanese instruments in general Si
10. As far as I'm aware, he doesn't take commissions anymore?! Si
11. 1987 huh? Yup....I was 5 Si
12.
massively tempted...... arghh!!!
oops Si
13. Lovely Lakland, Great Stingray......... but what on earth prompted you to part with money for a Johnson....worst basses I've ever played.......EVER Si
14.
I think when an artist ends up on a string packet, in a magazine with a product or on a poster, etc etc, then that's the real deal.
Yeah completely agree...all my artist discount arrangements have been because I've paid for and used my chosen gear for a while, and through various channels and for various reasons, become friendly with the companies as a result. This has led to me being extended discounts, but not listed on websites and posters etc....to be honest, I quite like it that way, there's none of that pressure that the OP mentions with having to sign agreements etc. I get discounts off the back of being a loyal customer and busy player, but at the same time I'm not tied into any exclusivities Si
15. I've had 'Artist discount' (40% usually) extended to me by a few of companies over the years, including a couple of small freebies (pedals etc), but I've never needed to sign anything. I think it really depends on your relationship with the company and whoever is running their artist liason! Si
16. No of course! As long as it's a BC'er lol Si
17. Overseas? Who's trying to join my '73 club? Si
18. Probably my fave Jaco line actually, he really shines. I remember learning it years ago, and it really is a joy to play, I'll go through it again now! Si
19. That looks amazing doesn't it! I think I would quite happily go for that at that price.....stunning refin! Si
20. The American Sadowsky I gigged was very average, the Sei 6 and Zon 5's I played were very poor sounding IMO. My Ashdown rig and 3 Fender Jazzes are the best I've ever tried/gigged! Controversial Si
21. Hmmmm, for some reason, I had in my had that Beedster spent about 9-10k for his '64 Precision? But now I think about it......I'm not sure where or If I heard that lol I guess it also depends on if you're buying privately or from a shop. I would expect to pay about £2600-3200 for a late 60's, so I suppose an early 60's...depending on condition would be 4-6k!? Si
22. Yup, but 4 grand cheaper than a clean one Plus I know that you can haggle that shop down a little bit. Me' Mate Dave bought the '63 refin on there Si
23. There you go dude! : http://www.newkingsroadguitars.co.uk/guita...BPrecision.html hehe Si
24. Just a little bump for this tonight Cheers Si
25. Looking awesome mate, and quick too lol! Is this going to be the natural Jazz, or colour finish? Si
