1. If it's just for one song, just transcribe it for standard tuning!? You'll lose the low C and Low F, but with the right EQ, Joe Bloggs won't notice Si
2. Clearly its just the rest of band being too young . Chin up, peaks and troughs and all that noise Si
3. I have a Fender embossed '75 Reissue ashtray set for SOLD Also an Allparts/blank Jazz bass bridge pickup cover for £8 I'll also have a Jazz/Precision '75 Reissue Bridge for sale within a week or so, SOLD. Prices include postage to the UK I don't think I have the screws for the ashtrays, will have a look. I will have the screws for the bridge though! Fanx Si p.s. Pictures aren't of my exact ones, but mine are exactly the same condition
4. I'll wait to see your price points haha! Si
5. All these vintage Fender styles are getting me hot under the collar! You'll be building be a faded sonic blue '64 Jazz before I know it! :-D Si
6. Careful Jim, you'll have to sell the '72 to fund it! Si
7. I'm not a particular fan of playing such as in the OP, much more groove orientated stuff for me. But I can certainly appreciate it, you'd be disappointed if you went to a Vai/Satch/Gilbert concert and not see some silly over the top bass/guitar unison pieces, it's part of the show. They're also 'performing', those punters want to see these guitar weilding comic-book characters putting a show on, and good on them for making a career out of that. Live and let live! Si
8. I'm going to hazard a guess that more people are going to be working on Saturday than on Sunday!?....me being one of them lol Si
9. I almost want to pin this haha! Nice one for selling it Si
10. Yeah the former! Good luck though Si
11. Little cheaper than the £64 I just paid for a thumbrest lol! Si
12. These look excellent!! Good job I'm very happy with my '09 MIA Standard 5 isn't it Lets just hope they've sorted the Preamps, never been Fender's strong point bless 'em Si
13. The stock pickup isn't a humbucker, just a standard split single coil, so I'm not surprised it's noisy!? Si
14. Lovely bubbling little line played well! And massive props for recording in your pyjama trousers lol Si
15. You just gotta sort those 'orrible knobs out now Si
16. Agreed, into Other Musical Equipment it goes Si
17. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1969-Fender-Jazz-Bas...=item19ba809aa7 haha, made me giggle anyway Si
18. New CV's are seemingly Chinese made........not indonesian! What are his thoughts on his previous information suggesting the contrary:
hence Fender's move of production last year to Indonesia.
Si
19. What you say doesn't surprise me. I loved the woods and finish of my CV Jazz when I had it, but it did sound pretty uninspiring on gigs! Si
20.
Not a lot really, just the pickup, I need to hear it first...... But as I've said I'll have to give it a go first and see. (hear)
Thanks for saying that, it's a proper pet hate of mine when people say they want to change the pickup before they've heard (or even received) the bass lol Si
21. This is a quote from another thread relating to the new new new Fiesta Red Classic Vibe Precision: "Well that is an easy one, I did ask the gentleman on the phone when I was ordering mine, what does it say on the back of the headstock and he confirmed that it's the same as the other 3 Classic Vibe's i.e. "Crafted in China". in fact except for the colour there are no differences in quality and parts. It's exactly the same as the Sonic Blue Precision." I'm genuinely interested to know what your 'friend in the know' thinks of this Si
22. I'd be really interested to know if these new ones say 'Crafted In China' on them, in relation to another slightly controversial thread! Cheers Si
23. I think there's a guy on the forum who is 'endorsed' by them.......says he quite happily put down his Fender to play them. Si
24. If for any strange reason you were to sell the pickups and/or bridge seperately.......lemme know Good luck Si
25. I assumed that the Fiesta Red that we know (the pinky colour) is just a faded version of what it would have looked like back in the day!?. Si
