1. Yup, my 33" (not standard) Jake P/JJ with Hipshot Ultralites, chambered body & metallic paint (rather than a solid colour) came in at about £875 Si
2. All that's left is the: - Fusion Gigbag (9/10 condition)- SOLD Cheers Si
3.
Here you go Si, it's a real treat. Check out this video on YouTube:
Thanks, interesting watch . Can't wait for my Jake to arrive! Si
4.
That's really brilliant, delighted for ya! Sounds like it could not have been any better. I wondered about the maple necks also, great to hear that they are the same quality as the rest of the woods used. (Not that I should have doubted the quality at all really) Speaking of quality I came across a video on YouTube of their production set up in Germany. Talk about craftsmen at work it was really fantastic to see the process involved in the build of each bass or guitar. Between that video and now your post ....................... I wonder how many more sleeps I have before my Jake arrives
Oooo, where's this production/factory video? I can't find it Si
5. It's here, headphones/speakers necessary: http://youtu.be/WSL9jALcHNk Si
6. It's all about the combos! Did you see my video combining the Rat Tail, Demon & BDPG? Si
7. Absolutely stunning bass, a perfect example of a well executed Singlecut design GLWTS Si
8.
Looks to me like he's ripped off Alpher!
I was thinking that a little. Although the amount of companies that have ripped Foderas SC designs is crazy, bearing in mind that Fodera have been busing SCs since the 80's. Si
9. Parted out: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/269781-fender-japan-loaded-pj-body-fender-parts-hipshot-bt-8-dimarzio-lindy-fralin-fusion-gigbag/page__pid__2868576#entry2868576 Si
10. I like singlecuts, but the Ken Smith is 'meh' Si
11. Very true about the neck joints, Wood & Tronics and Maruszczyk are the most like Fodera in that regard I think. Si
12. Probably also worth mentioning that there's a very nice looking Warwick Thumb single cut for sale on the board here, in your budget. Never tried one, but could be an idea. Si
13.
Noone's mentioned WoodnTronics yet.
Yup, very nice sounding basses, that have a Fodera vibe. Not quite keen on their single cut shapes though. Definitly worth a look though. Si
14. I've been using my blue Eterna for a couple of years now, I love it!! Good purchase! Si
15.
Well GAK have obviously forgotten I pre-ordered one! Disappointed that no ones contacted me to say the least!
Mine was from Andertons, so may not reflect other retailers stock. Si
16. If I wasn't already Fodera'd up, I think I'd be looking to try a Maruszczyk Sputnik, they look great! Often, woods are woods, some places will let them sit for longer, so will perhaps be more resonant etc, but only Foderas have their proprietary preamp, which is going to he a lot of the sound! A Maru with an Aguilar pre would be great I think. Si
17. Exactly what don't you like about the C# tuning? Si
18. Comes with original packaging. Fits 2008 onwards Fender USA Precisons & Jazz Standards. Has been briefly fitted, but in excellent condition. SOLD Cheers Si
19. From what I could tell from the A/B videos, it actually goes more extreme than the original?! Mine arrives Monday Si
20. Nice! Enjoy, let me know if you don't get on with it Si
21. It boosts 30hz, it's never going to be super useable at big volumes through just a single cab rig, it needs a full PA to blow people away. That said, if a 4x12 can't get down to that frequency area, I'd be questioning the cab. Even my Barefaced 1x15 can get down to 37hz Si
22. Yes lots of fun, and nice to catch up with a bunch of people afterwards, although only managed to say hi to Jack, Silvia & Rob from the BC contingent. Spotted Ordep but didn't get to say hi. Very impressed with the Hummingbird, Dunes, Afterneath & Arpanoid, but then I already own the Organiser & Rainbow Machine, so I know what they can do! Si
23. Mine has just been dispatched, so the proposed dates must have been 'no later than' Si
