SOLD

Hi all, WHAMMY SOLD Not using my Digitech Bass Whammy (new version) to its full potential and would be much better suited to getting a POG Nano I think. As such, am selling on my Whammy, boxed, with correct power supply. I'll sell the Whammy for £80 + postage or £110 + postage with a Gigrig Timelord, allowing you to run the Whammy from a daisy-chained power supply (assuming the supply has enough to MA to power the Whammy and whatever else you have going). I won't sell the Timelord separately unless the Whammy sells separately first. I can supply pictures later, but it is effectively a stock Bass Whammy with very very light use. I'll only consider a EHX Nano Pog as a trade. Cheers Si
2. The old "do I really NEED effects", or "whats the point in effects" argument... Si
3. Is the new bass chambered like the sunburst? If not, much weight difference? Cheers Si
4. Not tried the Fender Japan short scale, although I do own a medium scale Japanese Jazz (32"). The medium scale is a lot of fun, although I feel like the 30" might be a step too far for me. Maruszczyk also do a very nice looking 30" scale Jazz, that said, they'll build anything you want in any scale: http://www.public-peace.de/index.php/bass-guitars/maruszczyk/elwood/4-string/343-elwood-4p-3-tone-sunburst-short150226 Si
5. Awesome looking bass! Was eying that up too, if my MGS had sold in time! Enjoy Si
6. Thanks for the kind words guys! Yeah I'm looking forward to being a dad for sure Cheers Si
7. Try putting a buffered pedal in front of it, can help reduce it. Why it's often good to put your Boss tuner first in line Si
8. U-Sound cloned the Vintage Microtubes ages ago, no biggie.....or is it ok because it looks different? http://www.u-sound.net/?id=61 Si
9. Gilles purchased my Solid Gold Beta pedal. Excellent comms (and english), super quick payment. Deal with confidence! Si
10. I imagine, and this is purely speculation, that Spencer had a lot of stock leftover, PCBs, drilled enclosures etc, that he purchased to build Darkglass stuff. Seeing as the design of a circuit is not copyrightable, only the actual physical layout/design of the PCB, seeing as Spencer did those layouts whilst on board with Doug, he's well within his rights to release these pedals (pending any specific contracts between the two of them that may specify otherwise). Of course, the moral standpoint is rather a different matter. I get the feeling that a lot of people won't come on board and will stick with Darkglass, simply based on my perception of the general feeling on forums etc. Especially seeing as the price point for Pike isn't anything special. Prymaxe sale!

£58 for a Phase 90, awfully tempting Si
12.
Beautiful!! Our spec's seem to have been very close WoT! Mine arrived last Wednesday and has blown me away - playability, tone, craftsmanship, the whole nine yards. So much so that I have not put it down to take any detailed photos (but I will!!) Here's the one that Adrian sent over just before the bass shipped.
Great looking bass Si
13. I think I asked Adrian to wire my JJ as humbucking with the pot in the down position, then single coil in the up position, don't know if this is also the standard way? I believe the bass finished and being setup this week, and so will hopefully get a photo soon and be ready to send out by the end of the week (fingers crossed) Si
14. Mike replied to me about the Pope Flexcore, very helpful guy and it sounds like the Flexcore can be arranged in any number of different combinations. Definitely of interest to me as an alternative to a J-Retro/U-Retro/Uni-Pre Si
15.
Trigger pulled. 7lbs 7ozs of passive SAUCE. Come to Daddy, you strumpet!
Fit!! It will probably even arrive before mine haha Si
16. Few pedals left to go, all prices are plus £5 delivery, unless you wish to collect from Welwyn Garden City/High Wycombe: - Idiotbox Bass Fuzz - Lots of bassy fuzz from this pedal, it rumbles. I'd liken it to a Mammoth without the gate. Excellent condition with box £70 Sound clip attached at bottom of thread, running through the Mids control. Download and rename to .wav [s]- SolidGold FX Beta - Bass overdrive that goes from Motown thump to grindy gain without any bass loss at all. Lots of hype, able to back it up! Excellent condition, with Box, velcro on bottom of pedal -[/s] SOLD - Boss LM-2 Limiter - Made in Japan, great condition, functional effect, cheap price - £35 - DIY (by me) Klon Buffer - A buffer pedal based on that the excellent buffer from the original Klon. For those all true-bypass pedalboards. Small 1590a enclosure. Tidy inside - £15 Will consider trades for interesting Phasers. Cheers Si
17. I emailed Pope about the Flexcore and no reply in 5 days or so. Would be keen for opinions, although think it's probably fairly rare (assuming it's wildly different from the Fodera pre) Si
18. I'll certainly be videoing/demoing this bad-boy for people! Si
19.
The Organizer has a bit of latency (delay between the dry and effect signal) that you may or may not tolerate, or even see as positive part of the effect - personally I hate that aspect of many digital octavers/pitch shifters.
The Organiser is not designed to be a true octave in the sense that it sits right on top of your note, the lag is part of the design, and can be adjusted with the lag control. My opinion of it is that it sounds awesome with lag (if that's the ambient vibe you're going for), and a bit strange with no lag. If you want a conventional octave, don't buy the Organizer .....but it is awesome. OC-2 wins everytime for my money, although interested in trying the new iteration of the EBS, plus the COG T-16, octave might change everything Si
20. Also bear in mind that different strings have different tensions! Everyone's experience of different scales, different makes & different strings, not to mention how they play (a lighter touch negates needing as high a tension), means that it's all very subjective Felix Pastoius' 6 string is 33" Owen Biddle's 6 string is 30" Si
21. If you do decide to go with something Focusrite flavoured, I'm always available (in the Recording forum only) with my 'Focusrite Technical Support' hat on if you should ever need any help. Cheers Si
22. You could have had the book delivered by now lol I used my ears, the book plus Scotts lesson to learn Teen Town. It's a great combo Si
23. If you want a Shimmer, doesn't get much better than the Mr Black Eterna. The EQD Afterneath is also awesome for modulated madness Si
