MUST stop thinking about your SWR Henry 8x8, especially as I know it will have been obsessively looked after by you . Regarding courier, this lot would cost approaching £100 insured, but the bigger issue is I have absolutely nothing to box them in . So, although I have replied in private, I would just like to publically re-iterate I will deliver within 100 miles of Wigan (think NEC to Carlisle, Wigan about mid way), at £550 inclusive. Cheapest new Goliath 111 I can find is £640 plus delivery from Ireland (Thomann are £740). Cheapest 2nd hand one I can find is £400 plus delivery. Cheapest Son of Bertha I could find was £570 plus delivery, couldn't find a 2nd hand one at the moment. Both cabs are in excellent condition except the paint on 1 handle. Sorry for late reply, studio all day. It's not that I don't particularly like it, but I go very much for the John Paul Jones sound and I have found it hard to locate exactly what I want from this amp. The reality is that I had 5 years off and have tried 3 set ups in the year or so I have been back, none of them have been quite what I want. I have pretty much always had amps with Bass, Mid, Treble, Volume and nothing else. Probably because of technical ineptitude (and possibly little patience) I just can't get away with parametrics. Last gig I did, I took off the Distortion, and the EQ section, and put the Enhance to about 10 o'clock and it sounded so much better to my ears, but I'm still not convinced and if I sell it I will be getting something powerful but very simple! Pretty much all of the reviews I have seen on this amp are very good, but I think they were reviewed by folk more switched on than me.
