Sold thanks. Warwick Dolphin Pro 11 Made in Japan 1991, Sale or Trade

Ho hum, that's a first. 3 days & not a single trade offer. I'll leave it up for a few more days then may well have a chat with John about passive stack knobs & serial/parallel loom. I've been rehearsing the sets with it the last couple of nights & it's a fine bass. Just I look like a tit with it round my neck 😚 -

Made in Japan for Warwick by MMI (Moridaira Musical Instruments) Morris in 1991. Quite an uncommon bass. Bolt neck, unlike the much more expensive German set neck & neck through versions. Warwick aficionados are generally not a fan of this bass, some considering them not a true Warwick. Active/passive vol (push/pull), pick up pan, bass/treble boost/cut. This bass is cosmetically battered, with some paintwork filled in, especially along the bottom edges. A lot of dents & dinks, It's been gigged a lot. Can't see that from a few feet away. A previous owner (I think there's only been three & one of them twice for a good number of years) has put a Pro 1 truss rod cover on. It's not a Pro 1 (you'd be looking at well over another grand!) Plays beautifully, surprisingly well balanced, great rock bass. Quite light at 8lb 10oz. Comes with slightly battered hard case, Warwick bits pack, leather strap & strap locks. TRADES. Sandberg with a Precision style pickup Fender Player Series Precision US Standard Precision. CASH either way, but please remember, Player Series actually sell used at around £450. Apologies for photos, raining. Again. Feedback linked at bottom of post. Meet half way or collection, sorry don't have a box to courier. Cheers, Karl.

I got a 2020 CV 50's in Sunburst. Looked stunning but the truss rod nut seemed to be made of cheese. It was dreadful. Guitar tech tried to set it up, nut stripped & lacquer came off the nut access hole. Since found out at least 2 others had this issue. My 2008 LPB Chinese made 50's CV is superb.

Absolute joy to deal with, quick, decisive, likeable guy. Thanks for everything Johann, all the best.

If folk can put Fender Japan basses at £1k+ & Fender Mexico at £800+................... I need to raise some cash, however not yet desperate. With slowly increasingly arthritic fingers, I doubt I'll play a P size neck live again, so this is an expensive home toy. Original owner bought it for £1099 in Dec 2016. I'm the second owner. This is the version with the fabulous Custom Shop pick up & it's the second best P I've ever played. The last model American Standard before changing to American Pro. As new as far as I can see, weight is just on 9lb. Comes with black 'plate, original tortie 'plate included. Recent set up & strings. PART TRADES only 2 really considered; Mexican player series + £550 to me YAMAHA BB714BS (either colour) + £500 to me. I will meet halfway (as I have done with recent deals with folk in Minehead & Colchester). Sorry, I don't have a box to courier. IF BUYER WANTS IT HOLDING FOR A WEEK OR TWO, happy to take a NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of £50. As might be seen by the advert, bit reluctant on more than one level 🙂 Apologies for the awful photos, it really is unmarked as far as I can see.
