1. Try Parcelhero. As stated, past Perth will cost more. I used to use one company all the time, then they stopped accepting anything over 125 cms. https://www.parcelhero.com/ Parcelhero, through their UPS service, will take longer items and so far have been excellent, plus their tracking is great.
  2. A 210 at 46lbs isn't particularly light weight is it?
  3.
You need to make any price enquires via private message
Or perhaps even read the 1st post! It's approximately 32% cheaper than a new one (yes, 32%). It's got all the gear you would get with a new one. I would hazard a guess that it is better set up than any new one will be. The only reason it is still here is because I've consistently declined to drop below £525, a price I consider to be fair to buyer AND seller. Anybody interested needs to have a look at my feedback at the bottom of every post I make, then decide from there .
  4. Last bump for a while. All potential buyers have gone quiet. Shame but there ya go. Missing out on a very well equipped and sorted bass.

    Dear God, that is gorgeous
  6.
Bump for a very experienced seller

Absolutely, gentleman, scholar and acrobat.
Awww shucks chaps
Still available?
Currently yes, still available.
  7. There are several of these models available from Fender Japan, 50's, 60's and 70's. GAK and RichTone amongst others, have had them for a couple of months. Think it's possible these were commissioned to run down parts in the factory? Or as a last swansong?
  8. Good luck Possibly penultimate bump, may just buy a bit more maple boarded passive goodness
  9.
Bump I agree Karlfer… More pics coming soon.
Damn, that may well get me into trouble
  10. Withdrawn, due to coming to my senses.
  11.
Hi Karl, That smell you refer to comes from the glue I use for the covering. It is a water based glue instead of solvent based. I use this one because it is healthier for me and the environment. The smell will wear off over time... Personally I would stack the cabs like you did in the first photo but of course you can stack them in whatever way works best for you. Cheers, Marc
Wow, many thanks for responding Marc. The original owner wanted a couple of 210's from Bass Direct, a friend wanted my Berg's, I very much liked the sound of these so a complicated 3 way deal ensued. Must admit, they sound great. One of our guitards texted me on Monday night, that one of his mates, a bassist, had seen us on Sat night and wanted to know what my rig was. He said he was blown away by the sound. Oh, and they are much lighter than the Bergs. Really glad to hear the smell diminishes, guess it's taking a while because they are always in their covers. Thanks again, cheers, Karl.
  12.
I've had my Vanderkley cab for 3 years now and the carpet covering does indeed have a distinctive smell...not sure it's a curry smell though !
That's interesting, thanks for that. I'm just thinking it's a bit curry like but if your carpet covering has a smell to it, perhaps I'm worrying about nothing.
  13.
Maybe Lige Curry would be interested in them? ...I'll get me coat.
Oi
  14. Thanks guys, especially Bill as ever. Both tweeters are always off. It's always great to get a professional's advice. Guess that is why Vanderkley make them with that alignment
  15.
Do they have a Phall range speaker? Or is the bottom end tikka?
It's going to be a long day isn't it!
  16.
Yep, sorry for the derailment.
Expected it (and enjoyed it) Gary. I'm just living in fear of discrete moseying over
  17.
This must be a first on BC. Cabs being sold cos the wife said they smell
Oh yus Anyway, back to the question instead of the mick taking
  18. Just wondering what is the best way to stack them, photos 1,2 or 3. Basschat experts, your advice please. The cabs consist of 12" speaker on left, top right hole is tweeter, bottom right is port. Thanks as ever in advance, cheers, Karl. 19. As per title and link to spec/new price, as currently on offer at Bass Direct http://www.bassdirec...lification.html I got these in a 3 way deal. I don't want to split UNLESS 2 people agree to meet same time same place, and regrettably pay before meet/collection (Wigan). I can't afford to be left with one. I'm happy to meet up at no extra cost, between say Penrith/Brum/Leeds Going by the consecutive serial numbers, I guess they are both 2015. They are supposedly only 1kg lighter than my Bergs were, but do feel very light for what they are. This is a half hearted sale, because they smell a bit. Seems to be a curry kind of smell and I got berated by herself on Sunday. EDIT. Apparently this is not unusual, something to do with the glue and carpetting and wears off in time. Still present because they are always in their covers except when gigging. So it's a "look dear, I did try to sell them". Cheers, Karl. 20. I'm a bit slow on the uptake, is it one of these? http://barefacedbass.com/product-range/Big-Twin-2.htm
  21. Adam, I'm really surprised this is still here. £700 is a fair price. My only suggestions would be to take some decent photos (even I can manage that, see my Nate Mendel ad) , put them on Photobucket, then copy and paste them here. Folk need decent photos, particularly of body and neck condition. I'm interested, as I'm sure other folk will be, but people can't judge from your photos. GLWTS
  22. Damn it young Master Tim, you are good
  23. BOO HISS!!!!!!! It may well be sold but we (well me) DEMAND comedy plate mock ups before thread lock
  24. Good, now bugger off foul temptress I have been having nightly dreams about this very bass with a black mirrored scratchplate with a silver Eye of Horus on it
  25.
From memory these are slimmer front to back too aren't they?
Yes Damon, slimmer front to back than most Fender's but not quite as slim front to back as a Lakkie Bob Glaub
