1.
If things start getting desperate I've got a metallic plum purple USA jazz, though it's a rosewood board
GONE THANKS. Thanks Muff (I've ALWAYS wanted to say that ) but the bass is now on hold. Thanks all, cheers, Karl.
 2. Many thanks for that Superb 8 string you built there
 3. Last gasp. Will do a straight swap for either; US Fender Jazz, maple board, excellent condition. US MM Sterling, maple board, excellent condition. Cheers, Karl.
 4. Unfortunately Eternashine recommend not to use on nitro Anybody recommend a body shop in Wigan/surrounds that can do this sort of stuff?
 5. Others have said it as well. Lovely bass but I couldn't live with that headstock.
 6. Trips out on Fri and Sat night gigs as back up (in case of string break on P/J). Splendid photography as ever , feedback at bottom of post. 7. SOLD THANKS Thanks Mr. Floop, they are indeed most excellent. So much so, that despite 5 people being in various stages of moving gear to fund these, I'm strongly thinking of pulling them rather than just getting something tweeterless in a smaller box One chap asked if they were ok. Well, they are my only cabs, so, last night or Friday night, same gig different town , still a crappy photographer Feedback at bottom of post. 8.
Speechless that this is still here. If I had the money I'd have it in a heartbeat. GLWTS
So am I. Although Japanese 57 RI'S come up frequently, the US AV57RI comes up quite rarely. Here's a link to an interesting advert for a White Blonde one (as this was originally) from a couple of years back. The light (Swamp?) Ash used on these is a revelation compared to most Ash http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1615965 Thanks for all the further offers/trade offers. Incubass in particular, was close
 9. Correct Lozz I have however, had some expert advice, which I'm going to start to organise from Monday 14th Dec. http://basschat.co.u...63#entry2926863
 10. Thanks guys, more food for thought
 11. Fabulous! Love ya knobs GLWTS
 12. That is brilliant Gary, many many thanks Looking at that, it's sandpaper that is causing the issue on the finish. Going to get some order. Thanks so much fella cheers, Karl.
 13.
Erm, I'm having a bit de-ja-vu here Good luck buddy
Well Andy, in selling/trading my 3 R***s, I had 3 Road Worns through my hands. I was keeping this one
Karl is excellent to deal with too. Win win.
Tom, so kind , hope you are fine fella!
 14. 5000 made between 4 colours, in 1995 only. Most did not make it out of the Far East. Absolutely fabulous basses with a 40 mm nut, great neck, with tone from smooth John Paul Jones to growl like a pissed off Rottweiler. Great basses!!! EDIT, in fact if I wasn't trying to flog two basses, I would (in the best possible taste) rip your arm off!
 15.
I was gonna say that you could turn it into one of them comic book basses. The basschattts who did them did a good job , for not much cash iirc;) Have a bump anyway
I don't know, you Syrian refugees with your free coffees and radical ideas (Calm down, it's a reference to another post RATM made )
 16. Thanks for looking folks. I recently bought an AV57RI for £730 plus deliv, cheap because; A. Raised A pole pick up had been replaced with one of them EMG Geezer Butler non solder jobs. B. The guy had "refinished" it black. By his own comment, it wasn't great. Now, the A pole job, well quite a few folk have replaced them pups for different reasons, so, no biggie. The paint job, however, he said he'd intended T cut then lacquer over the top. After one gig I decided it wasn't for me so I put it up for sale at a slight loss. Needless to say, it isn't selling, neither is the other bass I have up. SO.................... Thought I'd ask for some advice on here, as if no basses go, I can't really afford £300+ for a pro strip/refin. It looks a little matt black where it's had some fore arm wear, the nitro black is not covered and has myriads of sort of scratches. The two pictures are about as good as somebody with my photographic skills (none) will get. Thanks in advance for any advice, cheers, Karl. 17.
Oh I like this one! Looks like a nice bass and with a little finishing touch
If I had the skills to do it I would, but with me, DIY = Destroy It Yourself
 18.
Lovely looking bass at a hell of a good price
Cheers Chris, it is. Now discontinued and replaced by the AV58RI, on sale at a few of the top shops at £1554.
Cheers Karl...
You are welcome Ian. I've put my 2009 Fiesta Red Road Worn Precision up. If that goes, this will get kept and refinished light Burgundy Mist
 19. £550 collected from Wigan (or meet with 30 miles, or sort/pay for your own INSURED courier), My last Road Worn, link to specs here http://www.gak.co.uk...red-maple/19353 There is currently a used Fiesta Red RW P on Facebook at £750, and a used Sunburst RW P on Feebay at a mind boggling £850. So I think my price is pretty good. £550 collected from Wigan or sort your own courier. You are looking, you know these things have a great reputation. This is from the 1st year of production, 2009, and it's light at 8lb 7oz. Obviously road worn, but great condition. It's the last of the three I had, which must say something Fender Deluxe gigbag included. My embarrassingly long feedback linked at bottom of all posts Thanks for looking. Cheers, Karl. 20.
Hah, similar to that, not mad on the spangly paint on those though...
Exactly the same paint as on the one Delberthot was selling, although his photography would undoubtedly be better
 21. Further pm's replied. Sorry, any trades would need to be something like TKS 112S's / 212S or Barefaced Super Twin. IE small light boxes without tweeters. I know Ampeg are superb but my back ain't Cheers, Karl.
 22. Sorry Ian senior moment, I meant GuitarAngel https://www.facebook.com/guitarangelcouk-159543554149879/?fref=ts
 23.
This'll be a beaut once stripped of that paint job I'm sure! Fantastic bass for Fender US Standard money though.
It certainly is. Think I'm going to put my Road Worn up in the next couple of days. If that goes 1st, this may well go to AngelGuitars for a strip and light Burgundy Mist.
What would you say is the difference between the neck on this and a 62RI?
Really sorry, I can't answer that. Perhaps if you PM KiOgon (John) he will be able to tell you. He has one of each and is a certified genius with a fabulous reputation around these parts. Doubt he will mind, and he will tell you warts and all. Cheers, Karl.
 24.
GASing something chronic for a seafoam/surf green Fender P. there was a MIJ seafoam green precision on here about a year and a half ago being sold by someone in Glasgow (i think) that i often kick myself for not snaffling. only a tort pickguard away from being the one. Either that or a YOB JV P bass... 1982 incidentally, if anyone's got one doing nowt.
What, a bit like this?
