1. Fantastic really enjoyed it although 1 3/4 seemed a bit mean compared to mccartneys 2 3/4 last week that bloke pino is awesome. He was playing a red precision but with a humbucker, and what looked like a t bird pickup. Zak Starkey does a fantastic job as well. Thanks to Chimike for standing in so I could go. He is a great player so I'm sure he will have done a great job
2. If I remember correctly, The distributors Synergie said they had never had to replace a speaker Its a great cab
3.
Get some handles on it. Couriers like being able to pick it up comfortably with one hand, if it needs to be picked and carried with two hands there's more chance of it getting dropped and/or put down roughly. Whenever I package large amps or some cabs, I always leave a handle poking out.
Great bit of advice
4.
https://www.facebook...41911849406362/
It will be packed with bass chatters come to see this monstrous cab
5. Im off to see them in a couple of weeks in Crawley, great band
6. Im going to the O2 as well I know his band is terrific and Im sure it will be a great show. He is a great bass player whose written great parts and songs. really looking forward to it. Im seeing the who in Hyde parkin june, havent seen them since the 60s and looking forward very much. In my twilight years I would rather go and actually see someone and risk being disapointed than not go and regret it afterwards
7. This will do what you want https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/backtrax/id345007170?mt=8
8. If only i was 50 years younger, what a beast. I always thought the Acoustic 408 was a monster but this is something else. f*** me or words to that effect
9. Should have stuck with your limelight and no one would notice
10. 6 basses with vintage type trussrod and thats the way I always adjust them but I do loosen the strings.
11. the cynic in me would suggest that a best offer outside ebay was made to circumvent the fees.
12. I have the one that plugs directly into the bass and its pretty bombproof. I recently bought a new powersupply and its my fault so no complaints there. Cables need to be heavy duty to withstand the screaming girls and the abuse after a few pints. Companies let themself down if they dont make stuff robust.
13.
original - https://www.youtube....h?v=PwXai-sgM-s My favourite - https://www.youtube....h?v=AKWZr_jGhaM I love this, I love this, I love this, an' I don't care, I don't care if you don't love this, cause it's my favourite, anyhow!
Fantastic version although I am rather partial to the Alan Price version.
14. I have had mine for about 18 months and it has performed faultlessly' you can get a new power supply for £8 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261582256302?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Do you have the little bug that plugs into the bass or one where the transmitter is on the strap. If the latter, get obbm to make you a new lead.I know you shouldnt have to but spend £20 and that should resolve your problems. FWIW I sold my line 6 because the lead was flimsy.
15. Saw him with the yardbirds in the birdcage in portsmouth, then with john Mayall Never did see cream Last time i saw him was at a private nye gig about 20 years ago Great artist
16. I have a burgundy mist stack knob sounds fantastic. Bit dark, I might have been tempted with a fiesta red or LPB if I could choose again
17. I have had a couple of silly offers from E Bay which I turned down . I dont mind haggling a bit, but I am not desparate to sell, and I am happy to wait untill someone who appreciates what a great bit of kit this comes along.
18.
I "Oh my God" shrieked at high volume by most females under 25 or worse, actually shouting "OMG"
There are certain circumstances where I might find that more than acceptable.
19.
You know what it reminds me of? When Lennon said the 'Beatles were bigger than Jesus.' And the hecklers and record burners worked themselves into a frenzy to ban the Beatles. Just change the comment about Jesus to a comment about Rickenbackers.
Now I think you are getting ideas above your station
20.
Top tip, stand your aerosols in a container of hot tap water for about 15 mins before shaking the can. Helps the paint to fully atomise, especially at this time of year
Please be carefull if you do this. I spent some 30 years involved with the filling of Aerosols which when made were tested to ensure that at 50 degrees C they did not leak or burst. However if heated above 50 C degrees it is likely that the contents of an aerosol will expand to such a degree that they will exert a hydraulic pressure within the can which will first reverse the dome in the base of the can and then split the seam or blow the valve out. One I left in a lab water bath and forgot blew a hole in a corrugated roof, and it made a mess that took ages to clear up, that was hair spray so it would be real mess if it was paint. Wear eye protection and be carefull
