1. Been on my Precision for a couple of years and sound superb. Mounting screws included. £25 delivered Paypal as gift please
2.
Well, its an eye-wateringly expensive little set up but, unless you're looking for Marcus Miller, I think its the perfect match. That pic was for a Motown tribute act, never need any more power and it gives dollops of Motown funk. Ease in some low mids (Streamliner has a 200Hz tweaker) and the definition is something not repeated in other rigs. For some real bite like that you'll need a tweeter, the Compact doesn't really do bite. But its great, I'm liking it more and more. Just got in from a very noisy rehearsal and used the Compact with a Midget T and, with the grunt of the Streamliner, its a very, very powerful combination and has filled me with enthusiasm - hence this long reply! If I was Alex I would be looking at building combos with the Streamliner built in, I really think its the perfect combination. If you want bite and it'd need the tweeter.
Cheers, Streamliner it is then!
3.
The earner set up ready to go. Genz Streamliner 900 and BF Compact, '76 Precision with Trubass strings.
How does the Streamliner pair up with the Compact? Might go down this route in the near future
4.
Current rig: Ampeg SVT - Aguilar GS412 and B25B 2x15 Ampeg B25B - V4 4x12 (Still waiting for my Ampeg V4 head to be fixed)
Sweet Jesus
5. In my opinion yes. I've used a LM2 with a Precision for years and get get a great rock sound.
6.
5 was the Precision code through most of the 1960s. In early 70s the code changed to 01. There wasn't a day date, only month and year dates.
I always thought that 60's/early 70's neck dates looked like this?
7.
The first number is the model code - 5 is Precision Bass.
Agreed, but that type of date stamp was used later in the 70's
8. I would have thought the neck stamp should be more day, month, year and then B
9. John bought my Schro 1212L. Very easy transaction with great communication throughout and a lovely chap. Buy or sell with confidence!
10. Awesome, love this guy. Loved his Jools Holland appearance.
11. Biggleswade, just off the A1 in Bedfordshire
12. Up for grabs is my Schroeder 1212L, bought direct from Jorg about three years ago. 800 watts at 4ohms, this thing is seriously loud and has served me very well in my three piece band. Comes with a custom fitted retro cover. It has been well looked after and kept in the cover when not being played. It is the rhino finish and is a very light one hand lift with small footprint. These are awesome if you have a bad back like me but still want plenty of oomph. Looking for £350. No trades please. More than welcome to come and try it out. Will pack the cab securely and the buyer can arrange delivery if desired.
13. Got a 1212l, blinding cab. Cuts very well in a rock setting. Loz sums up the Schroeder sound well.
14. I got a Warmoth CAR alder body for my 70's P, absolutely top notch build quality.
