    To me it looks like a late 70s p bass that has been modded and arsed about with. Body, scratchplate, bridge, knobs (the p bass two), pickups etc all look like the real deal but refinned and J pickup added. Lord knows about the story of the neck though. I seem to recall this being sold a year or so ago in the Peterborough area.

Has had a few previous refins so there has been a bit of rounding off on some of the contours, this is reflected in the price. Sounds amazing paired up with a rosewood neck and the strings line up well when assembled. Neck pocket is tight and has the usual sloppy overhang at the bottom. Has a few chips and scratches but nothing major. Also has copper cavity protection which makes the electronics silent.
