wow matamp! thats my dream amp for sure
-
wow i know they barely play live but that was electric wizards only uk show this year? damn. if theyd only come play their hometown 😩
-
id probably recommend sticking with 45-105 or 45-100 as a start. remember if you do get a set of flats and dont like them you can always list them for sale here!

just 1 (maybe overly large) amp, an old sound city b120 that i got as a spares and repairs sale and fixed up. put it through a laney guitar cab hopefully the speakers dont blow...
-
it was square, i just dont have the space to store it... ill probably have to get rid of this laney cab when i move next year
-
nice! i saw a really batter sound city 4x12 come up locally for £75 and had to fight off the urge to get it!
-
sweet thannks, ill have a look at it. plus that aguilar is alot less big than those ampeg ones.
-
hi, i had a search through pages and couldnt find anything asking this question so apologies if theres already a post but, im looking for a copy of the ampeg sub blaster since they come up for sale so rarely, is the ashdown sub harmonic generator a similar type of octave pedal? as well does anyone have any experience with it in general? thanks, leo

Not ebay but altered Rickenbacker on Reverb

the thin horns remind me a bit of the kramer dmz5000 -
started with rotos the normal rs66ld set got a set of them with my first bass, when the silk started fraying i decided id stay away from the strings with silk moved on to the rotobass set in 50-110 gauge when i started down tuning, later tried some rotosound 77s but decided i didnt like how flatwounds felt. now im just using daddario xls (55-110) as i tune to c# or c and they seem to be the minimum tension i can get away with, i quite like the loose feel but normal medium gauge flops around a little too obnoxiously

oh didnt know that, ill have to keep that in mind. it is my only amp at the moment but it isnt particularly precious, just something i found really cheap on facebook, does sound pretty good though to be fair
-
yep think ill just keep a look out on facebook, ive seen some decent looking cabs come up for the £60, £70 mark, so theres definately something i could do
-
yeah i know its just i really like using channel 2 for a distortion sound its better than any pedals i have!
-
ok, looks a bit more complicated than i may have thought then, i guess ill just leave it as is, i can use it for quiet volumes as is with it seems the speaker only gets stressed past around 5 on the volume, might just maybe look for a really cheap bass cab and plug that into it, might work fine?

hi, i have a peavey bravo 112 combo that i use to practice with, i was just wondering if i swapped the speaker in it to a bass range speaker id basically be changing it to a bass amp, so was wondering if anyone could recommend a good 12 inch speaker to go into it, i really know very little about speakers. thanks, leo

adding a humbucker bridge pickup to precision bass
sky replied to sky's topic in Repairs and Technical
im really not planning on ever getting rid off this bass, i got it with the money my nan gave me for my 18th birthday and i love the neck and feel, its on the light side as far as im aware although ive not weighed it. id just like the back pickup for a bit more versatility not that ill ever change the settings from the both pickups all the way on with tone halfway lol
