  1. Its a Fender Victor Bailey as the YT title says but they are as hard to to find as rocking horse s**t. Sounds really great, and what I expect a Jazz Bass should sound like. And yes he is bat s**t crazy but Johnny can play. Mahogany body with a Koa top. Thanks Normski.!! I want one.
  2. Yeah thought it was Clavinet sounding.Any idea how one might recreate this on a bass. Im asking for my sisters husband. He plays a Jazz Bass, he has a chorus pedal also.
  3. The line at the start. Im pretty sure its not a Rhodes. CasaPete please help.😀
  4. As per title. This ELO record what is he using. Cant think what it might be. Or is it a keyboard.? Cheers.
  5. I really like the thought of a lower priced Xotic. I believe they use the same pickups and preamp as the USA models. Very much like Lakland.
  6. I was referring to the Skyline series. Some of the Skyline Joe Osborns I've played are better than some of the Fender CS's ive played.
  7. Or this. Untill you experience/hear the tone from a Sire V7 you wont understand. Its epic.
  8. I wouldnt go anywhere near a Fender Jazz 5 string, especially the 5 in a row tuner basses. Lakland do it so much better and cheaper. I had a Fender American Jazz 5 and the B string was just a floppy mess. Of course this is not case with all Fender 5 string jazz basses depending on the year, just my experience. A Lakland Joe Osbourne is way better instrument. Imo.
  9. Brilliant stuff.
  10. `I really think he learnt how to play like that from his upright bass and years of walking basslines. I think he had mastered his craft when he was playing his P bass on his back drunk playing in the Motown studios.
  11. 😂 . Yes im embarrassed . Of course its brilliant. Sorry I thought you were being sarcastic.
  12. But don't blow smoke up his bum hole. Tell us how you really feel YouMa.
  13. The Tom Robinson band weren't for me im afraid.
  14. Specifically this Jackson's record. When I first heard this I was blown away by the bassline. The chromatic lines he plays in a lot of stuff is so fantastic. Love the way he surrounds the chords with that bouncing bassline. There is not a boring note he plays. Its always something interesting and so for the music.
  15. He could play a wash board and it would still sound good.
  16. It's horrible looking.
  17. Dwayne Thomas Jnr is a beast of a player. Hes fantastic on the Gospel Chops DVD.
  18. Freddie Washington buddy. And thank you . I should add that im no different from any other people/bass players on BassChat in there great musical taste. The difference is I post (annoyingly to some maybe) more music than most members.
  19. Ive been listening to this genius since his first album. And yes he sounds like Donny Hathaway. My favourite fantastic music.
  20. As title. In perfect condition. Best octave pedal available imo. Tracks amazingly well. Comes with a Roland 1 meter lead. No box unfortunately as the dog ate it. Will be packaged very well. Its in as new condition and with a brand new £15 Roland lead.
  21. We must have both been listening to radio 2 at about 2.30 pm then bud. 😁
