2.
Don't put the question marks in later to make it look like you knew what you was talking about...
Uhh? I put them in..i cant seem to pull up quotes from others
3. Mark King never used a Fender??? he's got a Fender Sig Jazz...
4. Sounds like he has GAS for one though....My advice is dont think that it has to be a USA Jazz...CIJ/MIJ Jazzez can be just as good..And you will save lots of money
5. Well im a little bias..but for slap a Jazz is awsome...But of course so are alot of other basses..Its all in your preference...I also think the Stingray is a slap machine...Dare i say it better than a Jazz?? Slap sounds great on many basses, its up to you find the slap tone you like... Of course you wont go wrong with a good Jazz bass..Ive had a good slap tone out of a P Bass too mind!!
6. I used to own this bass and its awsome....Especially for £400.. Have a bump Russ!!!
7.
Thanks guy! - I was looking hard at that Jazz you're selling - man that crack in the finish...how did you avoid extreme violence!!! good luck with the sale, btw - those are sweet basses. j
Although i was fuming at the time, i kind of think a Fender should have a few knocks on it..Its just a little more than a knock...
8. Very nice Johnny..Congratulations bro!!!! Bet it sounds awsome.. And welcome to BC..
9. BUMP NOW £800!!!!!!!!!!
10. Bumpy bumpy my Jazz isnt...erm.......frumpy?
11.
Ok - so I've been asked to bass for Boogie Nights [Disco Inferno, Boogie Wonderland, Shaft etc]... Great as my Overwater fretless is I just don't think it's the right choice for this gig - the question is, what is? What do you thing I should be using, your thoughts appreciated...
Erm...my 75 Jazz RI......Sorry for the plug....
12. Used Lakland 44-01..Very good bass...You will be hard pressed to find a better bass than this for the money..IMHO
13.
TBH there are Corvettes and there are Corvettes; you could essentially be asking 'what tone can I expect from a Fender [insert any manufacturer with a large range]' because the Corvette that I own is very different from say the one that 'Waldo' has for sale from the one that 'clauster' has, as much as say a P bass 'v' a Jazz 'v' Squier 'v' a CS. In the Corvette range there are passives, actives, Jazz pups, MM, MM +Jazz, $$, (to name but a few) BO, NT, cheapies, expensives... do you see where I'm coming from? Best advice... Go out and try one because they are all different (inc. neck dimensions).
Thanks WH, i have my eye on Waldo's Corvette..Wonder if he likes Jazz basses?
14. Holly Mother thats awsome!!
15. A Corvette was the bass i used to drool over when i first started playing..So im thinking about maybe purchasing one.. My Q is, what tone can i expect compared to say a Jazz or a Stingray5.....I have never played a Warwick before....Which is the best Corvette model, i always liked the FNA Jazzman...Are they weighty? Do all Warwicks sound similar, What can i pick up a Double Buck or FNA for these days? Thanks for any comments...

19.
Thank god for that!! i knew it wouldn't last long at that price!
For sure, i was thinking about that bass in bad ways!!
20.
LOL you can tell this forum is UK based...Try saying that over on an American one...They go ape! Everything has to be American...
Im not so sure Kongo.. i know a very dear bass player girlfriend of mine in the US ,and she has confessed to me that MIJ are more consistent than USA instruments...Shes been playing for years in Go Go bands and and her favorite is a 62 RI MJ... its a "True Solid Sunburst Jazz Andrew",.. she says.. You like what you like, no matter where you are
21. So what can i expect..I have a SR5,but i suspect its not like playing a SR4...What can i expect, thats different from a Jazz..I love the honk i get from my Jazz, its the funkiest tone ive heard this side of Meshell on her Celinder...i could fall in love with the growl of a Jazz..... What can a SR4 Give me that the Jazz doesnt??Im talking String tension(most important), weight, tone, ?? Thanks for the opinions in advance..
22.
For your money, you could get a Stingray or Lakland secondhand and the quality of these basses are very high. Yamaha also. Fender can be hit or miss although I have never had a poorly made Fender. The Dirnt Fender does have a very very fat neck so be aware of that.
I agree with Linus,... MM, or Lakland,.... in the ones that ive played are very consistent, and always very well made. my stingray 5 is the best made bass i own...Like Linus said...Fenders are sometimes, very hit and miss..For me Cij or Mij Fenders are always good..Period.. Unless its USA Custom shop, because the one i got is supreme. I have said this before..Japanese made instruments are so well made..they seem to have a great attitude towards quality, IMHO...Why do you think Roger Sadowsky went there for his of shore production.
