This Flame maple fretted version with the black headstock is killer!!!!...

ive seen these A E thinline P Basses before..in fretted and fretless. .ive seen a sunburst and even a flame maple one.. Made in Japan this one.. im not really a P Bass man but i bloody love these. big time.... what a beautiful instrument.....

the Di Marzio Ultra jazz sound great although it does seem that they do have a more scooped mid sound.. wonder what the Model J's are like..

Never would i pay 1000 for a new Fender when 1 you can them used for sometimes nearly half that.. 2 When you think how good and sometimes better Japan made basses are, there is no contest..IMO.. you can loose so much money when you buy a brand new bass and then try and sell...and most of the time the used ones feel better and are better set up by guys on BC... i know where my money would go..

Im going to put a better pair of pickups in my jazz bass.the Japan pickups arent cutting it.... just wanted some suggestions..i had a pair of Nordstrand NJse 4's in my old Custom Shop and they werent as good (to my ear) as the Custom shop pups that were in there so i want a single coil design.. i was thinking Lindy Fralins but ive never tried them... money is not an issue so can you give me some recommendations.. i really want a good trad sound... i really like Bartolini's but ive never tried them in a Fender what have you got/had in your jazz basses?

Cheers, [/quote]the batt in mine has been in for a month and still going..... i just make sure i take out the cable from the bass when not in use..Installing an Audere is very easy.. and the battery fits in my MIJ Jazz..its a squeeze but it does all fit...i think its only vintage instruments where it may not fit... all you do is snip the pickup wires, put them into the corresponding terminals, solder or twist together the grounding wire and your there..

the humming can be stopped by sheilding the pup and control cavity with copper foil.. if you want any i have sh*t loads but you will have to buy some spray glue

good story and pics. not sure about your mutilation of the mother bass but hey.. let us know how it turns out.. ps. is it not too thin tone wise all the time with just the bridge pup?

IMO.. its the quality in whats there already

cant stand them..and IMO totally pointless, looks awful and weighs more.. does a SC Fodera sound better than a DC Fodera.. me think not... dont get me atarted on that Warwick thing..
