never dude..!! you can see the passion in her playing for sure.. reminds me very much of Meshell with the physical aspect of her playing, but a better voice....old school neck pickup tone shes getting from that jazz, possibly an extension of her DB?.... fantastic bass feel with great vocals... she actually sound a little like Barbra Streisand in her vocal style.. by the way i love Barbra Streisand

A Marcus Miller with an OBP3 preamp in it.. huge bottom end with crisp highs..

remember to take your lead out when not playing, as the lead plugged in will switch the preamp on, thus draining your battery...

I was just thinking about my past history in the experience of learning about the different basses ive had over the years... there are a few i would like to try again to see if they feel as good as i remember.. the Sei had a big impression on me.. as did the SR5.. as did the Ostinato and Fender CS... these basses were a great learning curve.. if you could go back again, with buying basses in mind.. would you make the same choices... For me, i would have the Sei again, The Fender was too heavy, but it was killer.. I just adored the Yamaha.. (i got another one because they are so killer).. the neck on the AV 75 RI was the best i ever played... you can keep all that laquer though.. wouldnt have the 5 string Fender Jazz again... or the Warwick DB... one was floppy, the other was too small.. with your foresight, what bass would you choose.. PS.. if anyone knows who has the Ostinato Jazz bass..please let me know..

Love them..use the hybrids and they have a really nice tone and feel..they sound amazing on an SR5.... They are not in DR league though.. the Low Rider DR's are the best strings ive ever put on a bass.. but there expensive..

there is no answer apart from a subjective one..depends on the preamp and pickups.. they can colour or not colour a tone in equal amounts... influence is a broad term

The Mastercut series.. or the story of Acid Jazz is a great album to start off...
