1. ive seen him before... a very slick player... thats The Gallery..
2. ive been really happy with the passive tone from my 75 jazz ri, but after watching this vid, i have the gas for that super jazz tone again.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32j6CI5S0Oo
3. just thought i would share this fascinating non visual documentary about James Jamerson.... Pina Palladino, Paul Mcartney, Gerald Veasley, Dennis Coffey are among the people speaking about him..... and playing his bass lines.... yes hes reading from a script and the music sounds like some from garage band but Pinos bass lines are awsome ....Pino is part 5 the first part Jamerson is cooking up some serious walking bass and jazz lines Will Lee and Willie Weeks are speaking and playing too... jeeez... this is candy for a bass players ears..!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcaDXnhrkkU
4. this is such an amazing version of this track....
5. ive been researching this guy for a while now... his playing is just off the wall on this track imo.... he dances around that fret board for sure and all his notes are killer... he NEVER puts a foot wrong ever.... before Jaco there was the master.. imo.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imsB543zqSM

TRADED

This is very tempting for my non export 75 jazz
11. there is no TRICK to his style... he has a unique way of playing a groove...... stop with the emulations, and get your own dude.....nothing good comes from going over the same ground..
12. that was a great review, even if you didnt mean too..
13. the preamp on these are frickin awsome
14. i think DR Low riders are awesome... expensive yes but worth it... hex core for extra stiffness.. you can get a real low action on these,.. an amazing precise tone on a jazz bass i do prefer the round core strings though, for a bit of floppy growl on a jazz bass.. MM's are my string of choice...i dont want to sound like Marcus Miller but they feel great to play, and they have a great bottom end to them... i will probably never buy another brand of string...
15. the always amazing Ed Motta..he has such a fantastic bassist.. check out his groove throughout.. but check out his solo from 3,30 onwards... his timing for one is well worth hearing.... his solo his pretty special
16. just wanted to share this great inspirational vid from Scott... top man, great advice from a great player.... great story about his life learning bass also.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycARqiUlmc8
