2. I'm currently working on a fairly serious recording project and went for a Precision with LaBella 'Jamersons' on it, with a miked Ampeg 410 cab and a DI from a gk700 head. We really pushed up the high mids, which raised a few eyebrows from the rest of the band but myself and the engineers were confident with what we would have in the mix. So, as has already been said, what sounded not so good to some when soloed, sounds spot on in the full band mix. Its been a while since I've done some recording but this was a good reminder about tone cutting through.

4. Used the Boss TU 2 for years - no problems ever
5.
Using this I have discovered what an incredibly versatile amp these RB's are. FUzzy OD they won't do (pedals add that for me), but a more old school "valvely fatness" (perfect for motown) they will, along with a lot of other more contemporary clanky, clean and other tones. People seem to be obsessed about saying how they sound like DUff McKagan's sound. And, yes they can do, but also so much more.
I completely agree with how versatile the 700RB-II is. A lot of people associate them with known users (Flea, Duff etc), but they can cover just about everything. I can go from bright clean to a great overdriven, almost valve tone. They take a bit of getting used to but once you know your way around the front panel, they are great. As usual, cabs play a big part too. Just for reference, I believe flat EQ is about Treble 11, Hi Mid 1, Low Mid 1, Bass 11 and the contour will drastically cut all mids.
6. Now placed the ad successfully using a different PC. The website didn't seem to like my Mac or the Safari browser??
7. Only used a couple of times in the studio and in immaculate condition. The tin has a couple of dings but the pedal is almost as new. Not used on the floor, just on the amp top. Sounds great with bass, either direct or in front of an amp. It certainly gives the VT a run for its money and get a great Hiwatt tone,
8. i probably put the pound sign in there (does it say not to?) Do i need to start this over again now?
9. So i can only assume that my ad is floating around the effects for sale part of this website, albeit hidden until i pay but don't know how to!! All very distressing....
10. Funny thing was, when i posted it, i got a page saying i couldn't do that (or something like that) but i could see it in the recent posts on the right of the message boards, but when i clicked on it, it wasn't there?
11.
At what stage of proceedings are you getting this notification? It may be that you need to pay the fee.
The how to says i will get a notification to pay but i haven't had one??
12. Tried placing an ad in Effects for sale. It says i will get a payment notification etc and that page has an error notification on it. dare i say, help please!!!
13. I had the same set up. i used the head with various cabs, and with the 15E it sounded very close to a B-15. Fantastic tone!!
14. Also consider the Tech 21 Leeds - great Hiwatt crunch!
15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9srJIjp55Bs Another good one with Randy and Rich
16.
I'll always remember him for his performance of Jumpin' Jack Flash on The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1974. Which via the gift of YouTube I reproduce here.
Randy Jo Hobbs on bass there, also sadly gone as is drummer Rich Hughes - what a rhythm section he had then!!
17. A very sad loss. Got to see him play only once and I've had the pleasure of playing one of his guitars, Also met his Woodstock era drummer Uncle John Turner before he died - one hell of a player!
18. Been using a Tech 21Leeds lately. Well worth trying even if you dont want to go into full on Entwhistle territory!
