1. Anyone know where I can get a good repro (or original!!!) from?? Iknow I will have to supply an outline trace etc..but I want a real good quality/authentic one. Any help gratefully received!!
2. To go with an SWR Grand Prix pre, QSC 1450 power amp? I use a P Bass and Im thinking about an Aguilar GS410 or MarkBass STD 104HF. I like a nice clean, deep thump to my tone - no slap or pop. I know which is heaviest, but tone is the consideration here! Any comments welcome...
3. Im looking for a quality 410. Are there any builders here, like Avartar in the US????
4. My thoughts exactly Si. I think that it is also fine for bigger gigs as I normally DI then and the rig just becomes a stage monitor, although I have added a 210 and it sounds great onstage at outdoor gigs! Just for reference the rig is an SWR Grand Prix pre, QSC 1450 power amp into the TVX. 78 P Bass into this is awesome!!
5. What do you Peavey users think of the 410 TVX? Im using one with various heads and Im becoming more convinced by it all the time, particularly as a stand alone 410. I was toying with getting an Ampeg 410HLF, but Ive heard some compare the TVX to it. I like a sort of Duck Dunn/Tommy Shannon tone. What would I gain, some wheels????
6. Ive just sold mine in a 210 combo - really good amp! Shame to let it go but needed to fund a new rack!!!!
7. ..any idea if they're still looking for one??
8. Well, its starting at £200 - make me an offer......
9. Less than a year old, purchased new in Jan this year. Gigged twice, home use and studio since. Beautiful bass, nice light ash body. The neck is a nice handful without being too 'clubby'. Fender blurb: Modeled after the ’51 Precision, it features a slab ash body with a ’55 arm contour and pickguard. Other features include a thick C-shaped maple neck modeled after Dirnt’s original ’69 Precision, a Custom Shop ’59 Precision Bass pickup, and a Badass® Bass II™ bridge with chrome hardware. No marks, hardly any fret wear - it is in fantastic condition. Comes with fender soft case, hang tags and original receipt. Buyer collects from East London or I may meet - message me and discuss. Anyone is welcome to come and try it out - again, message me.
10. Great amp!!!! Need the funds though........ http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=190149425211 Will end auction early for a forum member
11. I use a T-Max - fantastic amp!! Its output is 500w at 2 ohms, 350w at 4 ohms and 200w at 8 ohms. You are correct - 900w is the power consumption. This 'modest little gem' really doesnt need hyping up in the output stakes!!!
12. Any users here? I'd like to know how much better they are than the Tour series? I would run a T-Max through them - 410, 210 or 115
13. Ok - seems clearer now. The 210 combo with the 410 sounds great!!!
14. Are the 210s 175w or 350w - bit confused?!?! Two 4ohm 210s would have to handle 500w.......
15. bass ferret - how many watts and what ohms are the 210s - do they handle it?
16. I use a Peavey T-Max in a 210 combo. For bigger gigs to get the full 500w i add aPeavey 410TVX cab. Recently been tempted by an Ampeg SVT3 and smaller? ampeg classic cabs for portability. Any T-max users, past or present got any thoughts? Big mistake? Take the pain for that T-Max tone or change............
17. Rescue Me - Fontella Bass, played by Louis Satterfield who later played bass in Earth Wind and Fire
18. ....found him!! http://www.carlradle.com/index.htm
