5. 500w @ 8ohms with HF horn. This is a sealed, non-ported 410 and with the horn off is pretty much exactly half of an Ampeg 810 "fridge". Speakon and 1/4" connections. The removable casters are in good condition and this is a very portable cab. I've used it with S/S and tube heads which have always sounded great. In very good condition, just a few usual nicks and marks but nothing drastic at all. The grille cloth is intact and unspoiled. Never been thrashed, original drivers, no rattles, buzzing etc. This is a USA model. NOW SOLD
6. A great classic and very versatile amp. This is as clean as a whistle and has always performed without so much as a blink. Loads of power and headroom (I can't honestly imagine needing more!). As well as live performance, this has served me well for recording - the GK DI is fantastic. I'll throw in a Gator bag that its always been kept in. No trades please. £280. Prefer not to ship. Can be picked up or meet / drop off within reasonable distance of Woking. (pics to follow)
7. Very transparent overdrive, from light grit to full on drive. Retains the bottom end really well too. Bought for a project and only used a couple of times. Almost as new condition - has velcro added underneath and I no longer have the box. £85 posted or collect / meet in Woking or possibly Slough area. No trades please
8.
I rate these http://www.diago.co....werstation.html
This
9.
What does that mean?
All the usual BC crap.
10. The exhibition is about The Jam and for Jam fans. No one said they were thinking of re-forming. Some people really need to get over theirselves
11. Best performance of the festival - great band
12.
I do love the DP200, only thing i could see me getting rid for would be something like an Ampeg V4B or V4BH. I like the b15 type stlying, the relatively light weight and the easy EQ, You say it has the same output as a CTM100?
I had a V4BH and with an Ampeg 15E it was very B15 like. Its problem was that it was not at all loud. 6L6's for bass - nah. I am however, very interested in a CTM100 to use with my ABM610......

14.
Using a MK500 will not make you (or JJB, or anyone else) sound like Mark King!
...and using a JJ500 doesn't make me (or anyone else) sound like JJB!
15. I've got one of the original 10 JJ500's (non signature / non rat logo) - not played a MK but the JJ is a pretty potent head, very clean, loads of grunt and a lot of tones in that 12 band EQ. I agree with Lozz - wouldn't disagree with JJ....
16. I've always got more tone variation from a Precision by using different strings than changing PU's. Playing finger style near the bridge is about the most Jazz like I can get from a P.
17. My 78 P (ash body, maple neck) is decidedly darker than most other Precisions I've played. Its got the stock grey bottom PU's and grinds like a good un, but always a bit deeper than the others. I've always thought its the heavy Northern ash body? Whatever I string it with or whatever style its used for, it will always be my favourite bass - can't ever get another set up like it and the B neck is fantastic. Coming a close second and streets ahead of many US models is my Classic 50's - again stock PU's and a ridiculously light alder body, it thumps like crazy. I've often thought about experimenting and swapping the PU's around in the 2 bass's but never got around to it!
18.
There is no "you" in drummer ...
U'r right....
19. Woking Mod band need a replacement drummer due to relocation to join our very experienced line up which is Vocals, Guitar, Hammond, Bass and drums. About one good quality gig per month and weekly rehearsals. We have played The 100 Club and the Modernism event at Bisley. We have made a record, a cover of Left Right And Centre,an old Paul Weller song of which we had the go ahead from the man himself. Our singer is Enzo Esposito who was lead singer with Squire in the late 70's, this band being quite well known during the Mod revival of the time. They also supported The Jam on the All Mod Cons tour. Our set consists of a scattering of well chosen Mod covers and original material, some of which has been recorded. Looking for a drummer with a good feel for Mod / Soul / Northern Soul music. Set list, some recordings, videos available if interested.
