1. Hello, Title says it all, interested in getting a soldering iron for Christmas as I would like to be a little more self sufficient when it comes to guitar repair. I have read up on a few different forums, but thought I would post up here as the peeps on here have not let me down in the past! To expand on this slightly, what would you consider to be the key items required for guitar repair? Thanks

3. Marty bought my Tecamp 210 Combo, lived locally so came and picked it up from me and paid via bank transfer. The whole deal was complete within one evening, from initial msg to handing over the combo. Very easy to deal with, you can sell to Marty with confidence. Cheers
4. Sold to martysprior, picked up and paid for it tonight. Feedback left. Cheers
5. Bump, cash preferred, but possible trade for Ampeg Micro VR or Ashdown Mini Stack Five Fifteen plus cash my way.
6.
I got the hofners on my Epi can't get much more thuddyier
Sweet, but the only place I have seen them for sale has them at £60 , any cheaper opens?
7. Any further thoughts on this, currently have rounds on my contemporary, they were there when I bought it. I am after flats, just dont know which would be best, looking for the deep, thuddy vintage sound. Cheers
8.
Is this bass up at £450 or 400?
It is up for £450, I resurected the old thread where it was for sale at £400. It has increased in price to cover the costs of repairs on the bodywork.
9.
Hey! I know there's not much more annoying than people trying to tempt you with trades when you've clearly stated you want a cash sale only, but could I tempt you with a swap for THIS?. Wouldn't be a bad deal on your part, if my bass takes your fancy, bearing in mind the Audere and the Nordy's and the fact that I was asking over 500 notes for it, and it's in great nick, the body only has 2 tiny marks on it. Wad'yreckon?
That is some trade you are offering on my Geddy Lee, the only problem is I am looking for a cash sale only, so I will pass this time. Thanks
10. I bought Rob's Hofner Contemporary Violin Bass. He was very easy to deal with throughout, bass and gigbag as described. Thanks
11. Bought an iRig from Gavin(krispn). I paid for it on Friday morning, he posted it Friday lunchtime and it arrived Saturday morning. The iRig is a smart little gadget and as described, I totally recommend Gavin, good comms quick delivery, you wont be disappointed.
12. If not a sale how about a trade, dont need any more basses though!
13.
I was in the workshop of a well known UK luthier a while back. There was a can of Pledge sitting around.
Thanks for the info peeps, much appreciated, got myself some Dunlop 65 and Peavey Axe Wax to start, will see how I get on. Thinking I will clean it up with the 65 and polish up with the Axe Wax. However ET's reply does make me wonder if I am worying unduly!
14. We definately need this "stickied", these are great basses, but there is so little information on the web!
15.
If it is a thick poly finish, T-cut for cars is fine for the body. Rosewood and other oily wood fingerboards get the lemon oil. What sort of finish is it?
It is a fretless bass collection 330, with a translucent green finish. Thanks
16. Just received a bass that I bought from eBay, and it could do with a bit of clean and polish. I was wondering if anybody could recommend something suitable, I know alot of the guitar brands produce guitar specific cleaners/polishes for which you pay a premium, anything cheaper/better around? Thanks Mike
17. Now on eBay
18.
Nice bass, and a nice price too. Have a scottish bump on me
Cheers, bumping again for the final price reduction, if it doesnt go at this price I will keep it, no more price reductions after this.
