1. Looks like the new world record attempt has failed at 18 days. After starting this thread yesterday, I phoned BassCentre but I had to leave my number as the person dealing with it was not in. I got a callback within 30 mins with apologies and confirmation that the refund had been put through, yeah right heard that before, but I can confirm that the refund is in my bank this morning.
2. I am looking to sell the Gibson SG that I bought from TOM1946 about 4/5 weeks ago. It is a lovely bass and really in excellent, as new condition and that is the problem, I dare not play it for fear of 'reducing' the quality of the current condition. I play it for perhaps 15 minutes every now and again and then hide it in its case when not in use, since I bought it I have fitted some chrome flats to it, only because I did not want to damage the fingerboard with rounds. It comes with the Gibson hardcase, strap, tuner, original strings, and original receipt and paperwork as well as the original strings which were replaced by the chromes. The original advert is HERE. [s]I am looking for £620 delivered to go some way to covering the cost of the chromes that is currently fitted with.[/s] SOLD
3. I would be interested to know if this can be beaten by any other stores but I think Basscentre can be placed into the Guiness Book of Records for the "longest delay between requesting and receiving a refund for a cancelled order" record (catchy title I know). I asked to have an order for a SB14 bass cancelled on the 29th March, now on the 14th April I am still waiting for the refund to appear in my bank account, 17 days and counting! Wouldn't be quite so bad if I they had not promised several times that the refund had been made but "it takes a couple of days for it to appear in your account". If I get a good resolution to this I will keep you informed, but lets wait and see
4. I put my TumbleDryer on the GrammaPad, probably need another now to put the combo on.
5. There are now 2 copies in circulation, I sent my copy straight to Hamster.
are there 2 copies now in circulation ? if so then lets make sure that both copies are not posted to the same next in line person.
6. Having recently bought two basses from Tom, he decided to return the favour and buy my Squier Vintage Modified Jazz bass! Having now had experience of dealing with Tom as both buyer and seller I can definately say that he is a top guy to deal with. More than happy to deal with him again. Thanks
7. It has not, will not be made into firewood, it was an attempt at humour. I have put it on eBay 99p with no reserve.
8. I couldn't do it to the duck, I took Bassman2790's advice instead, the bass has now been turned into firewood. As you can see the wife is very happy about it.
9. Buy this bass or the duck gets it, I will do it too
10. I bought Pauls Prosebass Ultra-light bass and it really is a cracking little bass. It looks great and sounds better, really pleased. Paul was very easy to deal with quick delivery and very well packed. Will be keeping an eye on future builds from Prosebass as I will definately buy from him again.
11. Price drop £190 delivered
12. Also considering trades especially effects or in an ideal world the Line6 Lowdown 110.
13. I am selling this Vintage Modified Squier Jazz that I bought back in January, I have not been playing long and heard good things about this bass and really liked the 70's stylings. This is a great bass and one that I have only played around the house, I really like the small Jazz neck, but having recently bought Tom1946's Geddy Lee, this might as well go as it is not being used now. It is in excellent excellent as new condition, it still has the protective plastic and inspection sticker on the pickguard. [s]I am looking for £200 delivered[/s] Price drop to £190 delivered. SOLD Thanks
14. Chris just bought my Ibanez AGB200 bass, in terms of payment and communications he was sound as a pound, what more could you ask for. More than happy to deal with Chris again.
15. Is there anybody there? BUMP
16. Les bought my Epiphone EB3 in Arctic White, and he was very easy to deal with through out the whole transaction. He paid very quickly and communication was also very good, a top bloke. I would be more than happy to deal with Les again.
17. [s]Withdrawn, as the purchase I was using this to fund has fallen through.[/s]
18. I am selling my Skylark Transparent Red Steinberger style headless bass, more information here. I bought it on the 17th February 2010 as I wanted a smaller bass that I could transport easily for lunchtime practices at work, I have only used it a couple of times since then as it is not actually much smaller or lighter than my short-scale bass. This has meant that I have not taken it to work as much as I wanted, it has been used for only about 20 minutes in all and spent most of its time in its case at home. I have not adjusted anything on the bass, the action is 5mm high at the 12th fret and there is a buzz on the open E string, so it could do with a set-up. As mentioned the bass comes with its own purpose built hard case which is lockable (2 keys included), this also in excellent condition. This bass is as new so I don't want to take too much of a hit on the price I paid last month which was £235 delivered so I am offering it at[s] £175 delivered[/s] £150 delivered. If it doesnt go at that price I will turn it into firewood . Thanks
19. This is my second purchase from Tom (Black Geddy Lee) and as before, a great guy to deal with. I wouldnt hesitate to buy from him again, thinking of appointing him as my official bass dealer!
20. Selling the AGB200 bass that I bought from OneHappyBunny September last year. It is in the same condition as it was then as I have only used it sparingly around the house. It was one of those purchases that had to be made at the time, as since I started playing it was the one bass that I kept being drawn to as I think it looks and sounds great. However I find that I am not using as much as I used to as the Gibson SG has taken over shortscale duties. I have had it set-up in the last few weeks and restrung with new D'Addario Chromes Flat Wound strings, used long scale strings as this was all that was available to me at the time. I am sure you know what this bass looks like, but have added sales pictures of the bass until I manage to upload actual pictures of my bass tonight. This has now been done, all pictures are off my bass. SOLD
