1.
But sold it again as I didn`t use it in a band, and was far too good a bass to be sat in a case. Probably regret selling that one more than any other instrument I`ve moved on.
My predicament entirely. A very regrettable sale. Fortunately, the current Squier version is excellent!
 2. Looks great... Reckon it will be pretty pricey though. You can pick up original SB Elites for very reasonable prices these days. I had one for a while, it was excellent. Wish I still had it really.
 3.
When I searched YouTube to check, the definitive version of You've Lost That Loving Feeling by Paul Shane came up, which I'd forgotten about. So it hasn't been entirely in vain. Thanks again.
Baby baBEH!
 4. From personal experience... Fender Precision - Ashdown ABM Spector - Gallien Krueger
 5.
new Vid! Ricosound demo:
Awesome tone.
 6. Vikki Clayton and Fred T. Baker?
 7.
As in - the exact same copy duplicated, or two models of bass so similar that the reviews more or less read the same? If it's the former then that's unforgiveable, & a massive breakdown in QC. An odd para yes, but a whole article?
The former!
 8. Two identical reviews of a Fender acoustic bass in this month's issue...
 9.
There are loads of photos of real basses. You just have to click past the silhouettes.
I see... It doesn't seem to work for me at work, I'll have a look later when I get home. Apologies to Mr Greben for calling your website daft.
 10.
As Edward Woodward once said: "Oh God! Oh Jesus Christ!"
The Lord's my shepherd, I'll not want...
 11.
Would be nice to be able to see some real basses..I'm sure that they do make some really nice stuff..
There are a few pics in the 'For Sale' link. Agree though, it seems daft not to have real pics on the actual website! Some intriguing shapes going on there.
 12. Just stop logging on to BC and forget about it?
 13. Veeery nice... I would love to hear what it sounds like!
 14. THIS IS SUCH A WASTE OF TIM
 15.
I'd buy one of these in a second if it had a P width neck.
This.
 16. I may be wrong, but I imagine 'back in the day' if you wanted any sort of hi-fi system it would be comprised of large separate components becuase that was the only option, regardless of your concerns about sound quality.
 17.
Yup Cosmo, that's the one. Jazz body, Jazz neck with dots, twin overwound P pickups, VVT controls and lovely shiny black finish. Its a real floorshaking growl monster - the front pup sounds like a precision and the bridge pup is a super beefy jazz on steroids. Can't wait to gig it next weekend. Pics later today.
I used to have a BC Rich with the twin P pickups. I'm amazed more basses don't have it, it's a fantastic pairing! It's clear why Entwistle was so enamoured.
 18.
Back to Wunjos and Tom sorted out a great deal on a Fender Blacktop Jazz with a case and some spare strings. The bass is fantastic - pure growl and grunt - and the whole experience was brilliant.
Sounds like a bit of me! Is that the one with the twin P pickups?
 19. Bump. Blacula, Bump! And a smashing new price to boot. All offers entertained.
 20. I thought he was fantastic. And it was nice to be able to hear the bass on that show for a change too!
 21. Cannot... pick... just 4...!
 22. ... And Now The Bumping Starts!
 23.
ie Rodger Waters, not a virtuoso but if he hadn't been in the band would they have come up with Dark Side or The Wall?
Not in a million years. Massive creative force. Still a mediocre bass player though.
