  1. Greg Graffin of Bad Religion - PhD in Zoology and Professor of Evolutionary Science. Milo Aukerman of The Descendants - PhD in Molecular Genetics. Dexter Holland of The Offspring - PhD in Molecular Biology. Also aware that Brian May and Sterling Morrison also hold PhDs. Bad Religion, The Descendants and The Offspring were (and really still are) 3 of my absolute favourite bands when I was discovering music at around 13 or so. My parents never judged me in the slightest for my music choices, but there has always been a bit of a stigma around punk and punk rock. I suppose in the 80s LA days it's was justified to a degree! (No pun intended). But I do enjoy the fact that 3 of the most educated musicians out there all reside with the Punk/Punk Rock genre. I don't have a degree, certainly not a doctorate, a huge amount of respect to those that do! Anyone here, or any other musicians that have managed to not only be a musician, but somehow also earn themselves a PhD?
  2. This chap and this chap for me.
  3. 10,000 lashes sir.
  4. I believe mods have a little orange shield type badge on the top right of their avatar that you can see on each person's post. Appreciate that's not super obvious, but may help going forward!
  5. Looks like a lovely beast! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176384095528?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=qnbqxc6aske&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=mojaVkKDRiC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  6. Nice playing. Some kind of Boss looper by any chance? Sounds quite Yamaha JP1-esque.
  7. Hi All Selling my rather lovely Epiphone Hummingbird Pro. These are lovely little acoustics with an E-Performer built in pre-amp and pickup. It's in top notch condition with one faint scratch on the back that I've tried to photograph, but it's quite tricky to capture it! Other than that, it's in superb condition, I've re-strung it today so its ready to be played! Collection from Wickford, Essex is much preferred, but I can probably arrange postage of you're willing to pay a little more for a sturdy case to ship it in - happy to discuss that. Any questions, please ask!

  8. Pretty sure this one used to be mine a few years back. Great bass. 👍 Yup, definitely use to be mine! Just checked some old photos and the grain lines up! Good luck on the sale!
  9. That sir, is a handsome rig!
  10. This is a cool beast...
  11. Yup, couldn't resist it for £250 especially as I have the UL901 head, plus the chap kindly agreed to meet halfway. 👌🏼
  12. Just picked up this cab today, a rather tasty Epifani UL610 1500w beast. Currently paired with my Epifani UL901 head to make quite a monster of a rig. Not disastrously heavy for a 610, about the standard weight of a 410, so a tolerable one-person move. Set it up in the studio today for our first band practice in 6 weeks, it didn't disappoint! Snagged it for a mere £250 from eBay. 👍
  13. Hi all, I've just picked up an Epifini UL610 cab to go with my Epifini UL901 head, so this beast of a cab is now surplus to my current requirements. (Obviously the Epifini UL901 in the pictures is NOT included!) It's rated at 800w through 4 ohm, so with most heads you'll get maximum bang for buck. It's in fantastic condition, a few really minor marks but a solid 9/10 I'd say. It's not SUPER light but it is manageable. It has really hard wearing casters on the bottom that lock, so it's easy to roll about. It sounds absolutely fantastic with the Epifini UL901, I've also run a Mesa Boogie Big Block, a Marshall VBA400 and a Bugera Veyron through it and they all sound exemplary. £400 is the bargain price I paid for it, so looking to recover my costs. These were well north of a grand new and worth every penny too. If you're after a 410 that sounds superb through multiple amps, then this is it. Any questions, please ask. Collection only from Wickford, Essex. I've also listed this on Reverb at 10% higher than Basschat. 👍 Thanks!
  14. One for today - just won an Epifini UL610 1500w cab on eBay this morning for £250. T'will go nicely with my UL901 head. 👍
  15. A USA Custom Shop Conklin 8 string bass with magnetic, piezo and midi pickups for £300 - bare in mind the build price of such a thing a few years ago (before Bill Conklin passed away) was $12,000. Still have it, will never sell it.
  16. I had one of these for a few years about 15 years ago, never missed a beat. Great things and at £50 it's a steal... A cheap and genuinely good little backup amp!
  17. Fine... have it washed and sent to my chambers!
  18. Already saw it sir! Look lovely, and I am a fan of Ocerwarer having owned a good few in the past. Excellent basses, Chris is one of the best builders out there, globally - not just in the UK. However, 33" is more my speed these days, and at 40 basses/guitars at the moment, I'm maxed out!
  19. Great basses for the price point. I've owned 4 or 5 of these over the years, always surprised at how they compete against basses 4 times the price.
  20. A dang good price and literally 5 minutes away from me! Someone take them now...
  21. Can't believe no one has celebrated the 10 year anniversary of this thread!
  22. I used to have a triple twin neck years ago... Perfectly suitable for 3 people to be assigned 2 necks each. 👍
  23. No 6 strings... Awful behaviour from Spector.
