Any interest in a conklin 9 string pacman bass?
8. Is it politically correct to say I'd have sex with this if physically possible?
9. Bump. Any close offers?
10. Anyone out there want to take this piece of bass history off my hands? Conklin currently would charge a little under £8000 for the same spec today, so this can be yours for 35% of that price... (£2800) Hell, if you wanted to buy both this and the ACG 9 I have for sale I'd do you a deal at £4500, thats a saving of £7500 off the combined new price! Anyone want £12,000 of bass for £4500? That's only £250 a string!
11. Any takers for such and awesome bass? I know it can be a bit daunting to play something with 9 strings, but as everybody has said as soon as they pick it up, "Wow, this is really easy to play!" If you want to give her a go, let me know.
12. I've just added pics and a price... Bump.
13. Hey guys, So I'm off loading all the gear I can bear to part with in order to cure a financial drought. As you can see from the photos, I have 2 of these beasts, so you can choose which ever one you want... I need £560 for this, They where £1004 RRP, now GAK are selling them at £858. So for something thats still got the tags on it, you're saving £300, these are awesome cabs, the best I've used, and I don't say that lightly, nor would I be selling it if I didnt have to. So here I'm offering up my Markbass CL104 600w cab, it still has the tag on the side carry handle and has been used for maybe 40 hours or so in total. It sounds superb and can hadle a lot, I've used it with anything from 4 string basses to 10 string basses and it handles everything superbly. It has one or two tiny little nicks in the tolex covering, but other than that its in excellent condition. I'm based in wickford, essex if you want to collect, and I'm on 07912222127 if you want to chat. Here's the spec from the markbass website... SPEAKER SIZE 4x10" TWEETER Defeatable 1" compression driver with custom horn POWER HANDLING (AES STANDARD) 600W RMS CROSSOVER FREQUENCY 3.5 kHz FREQUENCY RESPONSE 50 Hz to 20 kHz (to 6 kHz with horn "off") SENSITIVITY 100 dB SPL IMPEDANCE 8 ohms REFLEX None WEIGHT 60.85 lbs. / 27,6 kg WIDTH 23.03" / 58.5 cm HEIGHT 29.80" / 75.7 cm DEPTH 18.58" / 47.2 cm
14. Hey again, Well... yeah, he we go again... I am putting this absolutley amazing piece of bass art up for sale as I am in need of a financial boost right now to keep me afloat for the forseeable future. The bass is nothing short of amazing. The elctronics are stunning with the addition on Piezo pick-ups under the bridge and selectable bridge and neck pups that can be blended with the piezo, this with the combination of the ACG pre gives you an absolutely infinate array of tones. Literally anything is possible. Here's what Alan has as its specs from ACG's website. Body core in Swamp Ash with a Mahogany top. 7 piece Wenge/Maple neck with a book matched Acrylic impregnated Spalted Maple finger board. 2 ACG FB pickups with coil switching and a Hipshot A Type bridge with piezo saddles. Bridge pickup and piezo are switchable before the feed into the lowpass filter on the ACG EQ01 pre-amp. This allows the bass to be set up as bridge pickup and neck pickup or piezo and neck pickup. Full EQ of the piezo is allowed with t his set up and blending between the piezo on the neck pickup. East low battery indicator. I hate to put this up for sale, I really do but I have little choice right now and need to release some funds. This bass was built for Mark, (7string on BassChat) and I bought it from him in a fairly complex trade. All in, the trade cost me in total around £2600 give or take, so I'm offering this stunning bass up for £2200. I think it would probably cost in the region of £4000 of so to order from Alan. This condition of this bass is impecable, I have used it, but I have kept it extremely well. All my basses are treated with the utmost of care. I'm based in Wickford, Essex and am on 07912222127 if you want to discuss. This would not be for sale If I didnt have to sell it, and I feel the price is more than fair. Get in contact if you want this absolute stunner of an instrument. Thanks, Russ. 15. Hey guys, yeah this things is a real beaut, and its with a VERY heavey heart that I have to sell it... If ayone wants to come over to try her out, your'e more than welcome.
16. Right, here we go... I swore to myself I would never sell/trade or part with in anyway this bass for multiple reasons, but I am in desperate need of a cash injection due to being under some financial stress right now. Asking price is a more that reasonable £2800. This bass was built in the latest part of 2000 by Conklin in America for Jean Baudin. It has two Bartolini soapbar pickups which are set up via a duel output so you can split the pickups and send the lowest 4 strings to one output/amp and the highest 5 strings to the other output/different amp, this way you can run different effects or whatever you want through either output, you can also just run them together as standard. Its multiscaled (fanned frets) with a reasonably new set of strings on it, the onboard EQ isn't really to my taste, not enough HIFI high end for me! But i tell you, this bass thumps like a thunder storm!. The neck is 7 ply maple/purpleheart and the top wood is Ziricote, the body of the bass has a slightly cloudy coating to it, which might hide the grain of the wood slightly, but really stands up to weathering, the bass was played relentlessly by Jean for the first 5 years of its life, and its come out the other side with little to no battle scars. The bass has a PacMan inlay using yellowheart for PacMan, and purpleheart for the baddie (the baddie is right up the top of the neck, the purpleheart has faded a bit with age) with dot inlays in between. The tuners are baddies chasing PacMan one way, and PacMan chasing the baddies the other way, these where made by Roger at THG knobs, as where the control knobs, again in the PacMan theme! the current price on a build with this spec from Conklin is just over $11,000 and that's without the pickup system and without the tuners and knobs, so all in, to have this built today would cost in excess of $12,000, that's £7,400. This is only for sale as I am in a situation where I need a quick release of funds to deal with a finiacial difficulty. I'm based in Essex and I'm on 07912222127 if you want to chat, again, this is only a feeler... Russ
17. Hey guys, I have an old 1977 Hondo II Gibson J200 copy here, it DOES have an issue at the bridge, the bridge is coming away from the body a bit, so it looks like it needs glueing down, or re-fitting etc. I just chucked some new strings on it, but haven't tuned it up as I don't want to make it worse until someone fixes it... However... the rest of the guitar is pretty immaculate, its 36-37 years old and has a few tiny little scratches on it, but no major dents or anything really, its pretty damn clean! It looks exactly like a gibson J200 acoustic, with the same inlay, same scratch plate, size body size and depth etc etc. If the bridge was set, it would be a stunning acoustic, but I need a little cash right now, and don't have the time to see it through. I'm after £60 for this, as I predict it'll cost £30-£40 to get someone to do a good job on the bridge, then you'll have a beautiful 1977 j200 to call your own! I cant upload pics for some reason, so PM me or text me and i'll text, or email you some over... I'm on 07912222127 and I'm based in wickford, Essex. Russ.
18. Hey guys, I have an old, but cool, Columbus OVD-5 distortion pedal up for grabs. I get the impression is a bit of an clone of the old Boss OCD pedals as its obviously named in a similar fashion and has that same kind of look to it. Again, I cant get pics up at the mo, but can text or email them to you if you want. I'm on 07912222127. It has a battery compartment and runs off of the mains 9v too. I'm after £25, so its a cheap bit of retro goodness for anyone that wants it! Russ.
19. Really need rid of this to release some funds asap. Got a bill that needs paying! Will do it for £75 and throw in free postage, or £70 collected...
20. Tis a cool little gem this! I'm happy to accept trades, try me with anything! Though I'd want a trade value of around £100 me thinks. Still... try me!
