  1. If you want this to sell, you should really post more photos, I mean we can't even see under the handle! Under the handle is the most important part... 😁
  2. Don't suppose you're selling the Helix to go in it?
  3. That is a very good price! NT for the cost of a BO... reckon this will sell quickly!
  4. Clearly a Squier P-Bass 😁
  5. Such a nice amp... every time I see it I want it!
  6. The serial number is definitely 1N22064 and it can't be a 1992 as it was bought by the original owner in 1991! Having reviewed as many guides to Yamaha serial numbers as I can find, this particular serial number layout is apparently for 1986/1989 basses and as the TRB6P was introduced in 1989 (so say the Yamaha archives!) I am close to certain it is 1989.
  7. The serial number on this one is 1N22064 which I think means it was the 64th guitar/bass built on July 22nd of either 86, 87, 88 or 89... I assume 1989 as I don't think the TRB6P's were made before 89. Can anyone confirm this?
  8. I wasn't the biggest fan of this colour, it's growing in me though... either which way, it a great eBay steal! 😁
  9. And now the clean, set up and re-strung result... Love these basses...
  10. Currently on route back from London with my new prize... a very nice Yamaha TRB6P in turquoise blue. It is in desperate need of a thorough set up, clean and new strings and has a nasty but very stable crack between the pots, but it was nothing short of a steal. Looking forward to spending the afternoon giving it some well needed TLC. This is how it looks now... not terrible, will hopefully look better later today!
  11. Great buy at £50. I'd have it if you were local! Perfectly good bass amps these.
  12. How much for just the Warwick?
  13. Then I'd buy it!
  14. Or a hacksaw and glue. That's how headless bass work right? Just glue the strings down?
  15. Fantastic looking bass! Though why someone would put 8 holes in such a beautiful top wood for the sake of a clear plastic scratch plate is beyond me! Still... a truly stunning bass!
  16. Afternoon, After again another year of chopping and changing gear, I am now settled on (for now!) this rig! It's a PJB 12B with a 6T on top (18 speakers in total!!) being run by a Markbass Multiamp Mono with midi pedal board. The cabs are 1200w combined, the head runs at 600w at 4 ohms so the amp can be run at the maximum without fear of speaker damage. The whole rig sounds about as good as any rig I've ever played, and yes this is HUGELY subjective, but for me, this rig is perfect. I play 6+ string basses and do a fair amount of tap so the high fidelity of this rig and the crisp, clean punchiness it provides is almost tailor made for me. Couple that with the Markbass Multiamp and pedal board, you have a vast array of effects and tonal possibilities at your finger/toe-tips. For practice, the mono and the 6T are perfect, for loudness and projection, the 12B and the mono do the trick, and for ear-bleeding, house-shattering volume, all three together! All in, very happy with this set up. It's flexible and sounds horrendously good!
  17. These will be on eBay from 7pm tonight for 1 week.
  18. I had a TB Raxx 12 or so years ago, great bits of kits!
  19. I'll have these please sir. PM incoming!
  20. You mean Ssoney M?
  21. The morale of most of these stories is 'Don't Wait!' I have a tendency of impulsive buying... if the bass doesn't pan out then you can always sell it on. I have a short list of basses I wish I never sold, but on the flip side, had I not sold them I wouldn't have the basses I now have which I will not sell! My main regrets are selling these ones: Jean Baudin's PacMan 9 string Conklin The Nordstrand NX6 A lovely Spector US NS6XL
  22. Hi all, I'm not 100% sure I want to sell this, so this is a bit of a feeler as it's a rather unique bass. This is a custom made Lakestone bass by UK luthier Tony Wright. This was originally made for the late Ian Holden, session player for the BBC orchestra and Dexie's Midnight Runners among others. The bass is in excellent condition and is of the highest build quality, it isn't light but it sounds superb! The full spec is as below, this came directly from Lakestone guitars: 1. The through neck is a rock maple and purple heart laminate. 2. Birdseye maple wings. 3. Two truss rods and reinforced with 3 carbon fibre rods for stability. 4. Gabon ebony fingerboard. 5. Headstock veneer is maccaser ebony. 6. Machine heads are Gotoh. 7. Pickups are from Kent Armstrong, actually wound by Aaron Armstrong for Overwater guitars. Lakestone had to get permission from Overwater to use them. 8. E.Q. is a 3 band Seymore Duncan. Coil tapped pickups. 9. The bridge was machined from solid brass and it was gold plated in the jewellery quarter in Birmingham. 10. The scale length is 36 inches. 11. Body core is mahogany. 12. Abalone inlay work on the headstock and truss cover. 13. Weight is 6.3kg (exactly 1 stone). 14. Spacing at the bridge is 18.5mm 15. Spacing at the nut is 8.5mm I'm based in Basildon, Essex and viewing is welcome. It could do with a new set of strings, I would have re-strung it myself but I dont have any strings suitable for a 36" bass. Any questions, please ask! Russ.
