  1. No, they are built this way. It's not a full guitar that someone has hacked up, it's a Chinese made novelty.
  2. Shall we all just agree to trade these basses back and forth every year? 😁
  3. If @gioby1 gets this bass back, perhaps I'll trade him my 9 string ACG for it again in a year or two! And then a year after that I'll meet Tony in Brussels again to trade it back to him! The cycle continues!
  4. It's actually an awful bass... only worth £50, but as I'm just so very generous I'll offer £60! 😉 (It is a superb instrument, I've had 3 Aries 6 string basses and this was my favourite.)
  5. Indeed, and I traded my 9 string ACG for it! (Which went from me to @gioby1 to @bipbip62 and then back to me again!) Entropy is a strict mistress! 😄
  6. My old bass... A lovely thing indeed! Maybe another trade is in order... 🤔
  7. Hi all, (I definitely listed this as £4.50 each, not £4 each... apparently BC doesn't like to deal in pence! So to confirm, these are £4.50 each inclusive of postage). With part of a recent trade came a box of 36 guitar wall hangers! These are generic ones with a round back plate that require 3 screws (not included unfortunately). I have all the guitar wall hangers I could possibly need so these are of little use to me! I'll price them at £4.50 each which will include postage, or £12 for 3. Happy to do a bigger discount if you want more than 3. There are 33 identical ones and 3 slightly longer necked ones. Your call as to which you want until such time as the long necks are gone! Cheers, Russ.
  8. Yet another deal done with Tony... I think this is officially the 1,000,000th bass I have traded/sold/bought through Tony! He now owns a Conklin GT8, naturally I have already spent the money he paid on more basses! Probably soon to be traded to Tony! Russ.
  9. Surely this has got to be worth £30 to someone? Half decent pups, bridge, tuners, as well as a neck and body! Worth cannibalising for parts? Someone take this!
  10. Not sure that's the price that'll be charged, also not sure advertising it at £12,000 is a remotely intelligent way of trying to sell a bass.
  11. He's looking for around £500 for it. I would say in this condition it's worth £200-£250 max.
  12. Correct on all fronts @AndyTravis Next time I'm going to list a bass with no description and only one blurry, partially obscured, picture and see how you get on! 😂
  13. Afternoon all, I've just picked up a few basses in a bit of a bulk buy, a few of which I don't need so are up for sale for cheap! This one is a 'Performer' bass in black, I'm not sure on the model. It has a few knocks and paint chips here and there, nothing too terrible. All it needs is a a bit of re-wiring and a second tone pot and you're good to go. It all works fine, truss rod works, no crackles from the pots. All I'm asking is a mere £35 for this one! Very cheap for an easily salvagable bass! £35 on collection from Basildon in Essex. Collection is preferred but I can post if you want, this will be £15 on top and as it has no hard case (I think I have a crappy soft case) postage needs to be on the basis of the buyer assuming responsibility if there's any damage in post as I don't have a huge amount of packing materials but will do my best with what I have! Any questions, please ask! Russ.
  14. Afternoon all, I've just picked up a few basses in a bit of a bulk buy, a few of which I don't need so are up for sale for cheap! This one is an Eko fretless bass, the wings have started to split and the wood body is worn, however it's all 'easy fix' stuff for those with a bit of know-how. It has Schaller tuners and a Schaller bridge (worth the money on their own!) as well as a non-original Wilkinson P-Bass pickup. It all works fine, truss rod works, no crackles from the pots. All I'm asking is a mere £50 for this one! Very cheap for a perfectly reasonable through neck fretles bass! £50 on collection from Basildon in Essex. Russ.
  15. Afternoon all, I've just picked up a few basses in a bit of a bulk buy, a few of which I don't need so are up for sale for cheap! This one is an Aria short scale bass (31"), I'm not sure on the model. It has a few knocks and paint chips here and there, nothing too terrible. It all works fine, truss rod works, no crackles from the pots. All I'm asking is a mere £50 for this one! Very cheap for a perfectly reasonable pocket sized bass! £50 on collection from Basildon in Essex. 16. When you're right, you're right. Cheers @AndyTravis
  17. Evening all, I just bought this strange bass from someone down the road, looks potentially home made, quite a reasonable job if it is with a through neck, schaller tuners and bridge, CTS pots and Wilkinson P-pup. If it isn't home made, does anyone recognise this bass at all? Russ.
  18. How much do you thinking shipping down to Essex would be? Could be interested...
  19. Interesting stuff... It's curious as to the logic behind such drops, I can't imagine it prompting mass purchases given it's such a comparatively niche product. Maybe they simply had one left that hadn't sold and tanked the price to get it gone... if so, it worked!
  20. Must of been a one-off... Shame. Honestly, I don't need this bass, but couldn't resist at £146!
  21. Afternoon gents and gentettes, During the course of my daily internet stumblings where I am always on the hunt for bass related deals, I came across this... The usual RRP for one of these is around £600 and having owned one of these before, they are actually very fine acoustic basses. In fact I rate Crafter as one of the most underrated acoustic brands out there, but that's a different story... I've just pulled the trigger on one as at the absolute worst, I know I can sell it on eBay for a good £100 more, and as it's being sold by Amazon (not a 3rd party Amazon user) if there are any issues, I'm relatively safe! So, for anyone after an acoustic bass, £146 for a brand new one of these is absolutely nuts! Not sure why they're being sold for 70% off, but I'm not arguing! Fill yer boots!
  22. Fake IMO. If it was real, or had value outside of the obscure signatures (which have almost zero value) it would have been photographed better. Also the colour looks wrong, the bottom shape of the pick guard looks wrong and the whole thing smells a bit fishy!
  23. Get a 6 string bass. You'll thank me later. 😁👌
