1. I've been pumping a 25Hz sine wave through my HA3500 to break in my new S12T. I switched the wave off a few hours ago, got on with some stuff and then decided to have a play with my bass..... but the amp seems dead. The valve is glowing, the lights and fan are on.....but there's no noise coming out. Could my new cab have killed the amp?
2.
Would it be rude to suggest that you'd get more out of your cab with a more powerful amp?
Rude? possibly....... I have been looking at heads - i do want something much lighter and more portable. The streamliner is at the top of the list atm tbh. Mark @ bass direct invited me to take my S12T & bass up once it arrived and go through his stock of heads...it's on the to do list but funds probably do not allow right now.
3.
that's going to be a keeper, nice one.
Definitely - this is a cab for life!

8. Not really up on who's who and never really 'studied' any bass players but these guys are probably my favourites all for different reasons- could not get to 10 Paul Simonon J-P Jones Peter Hook (!!) JJ Burnel Mick Karn
9. Developed a need to have a satin nitro finished neck....I can't play shiny necks anymore - they just feel wrong. Satin nitro finished necks don't come with cheap basses.
10.
is also taking us back to the 80s a bit much for my liking.
Hardly surprising considering where I've come from....80s indie band ....thanks for the write up.
11. It's not a JV (decal is wrong) but might be a SQ
12. ...after a 13 week wait, I get my S12T on Friday........as you all probably know already.......to say I am excited would be an understatement. I have been cabless since March (!!) ....relying on house gear at rehearsals...luckily we've not had any gigs recently as have been trying to get an album together
13. Can I ask those that went what the video kit was like? We supplied it but I never get to see what we do.
14.
