1.
Hey, you're not taking it seriously! Just like a real Administrator!
I blame the former administrators for all this.
2. No you're quite right - rarely do I see a post by someone i've not seen before. If we had even 10% of active users posting actively the forum would be unbearable.
3.
Are you suggesting there should be a quorum?
I had some of their sausages once, not bad.
4. A week should be a minimum really, but I guess a high proportion of the user base isn't that fussed (726 views at time of posting).
5. Not many votes though really - 60 isn't very representative of the 18000+ members we have
6. I've not read all 11 pages - but here's my idea of bass vomit . More atrocities here: http://www.wishbass.com/gallery.html http://www.wishbass....erypagetwo.html
7.
Can this option be included in the voting, please?
I don't think it can be done in the forum software so no point me adding it in .
8. Big_Stu - you can hide a persons signature easily by clicking on the 'x' at the top right of the signature. You can hide that person's or all sigs .
9. Looks good. Are you doing similar with the neck ?
10. I think the like thing is a bit of an ego thing. But it's handy on threads where someone makes a good point in a discussion or says something funny - people can identify with them without the need to post a response with something like '+1' which is a waste of a post. If it could be done that way without it having to tally total likes on someone's profile I think that would be ideal.
11. If you aren't fussed you won't bother to vote anyway
12. The lower fee seems possible to me due to the lack of printing costs or distribution - it's a good business model if the content can match the established printed media and also draw enough people. Personally I prefer physical media rather than reading on a screen but others may be less concerned ! I'll check it out from a decent bandwidth connection tonight .
13. No. I have arranged for some guitarists to have a meeting next door and they ALL have Marshall 8412 cabs with 500w valve heads, they will be conducting an attempt at the world record for joint shredding solos with their volume set to 11. But i'm not bitter.
14. The bashes can be as frequent as you like if people are willing to turn up.
15. Hope it rains
16. Unfortunately to post on here you can't just tell people to contact you via eBay - it goers against he spirit of the forum.

Opeth

On the contrary ! Opeth's death metal/blues rock dynamics are what I love about them, moving to older mellotron prog style isn't a positive move for me. I don't think they have the same edge they did a few years ago, but - they're a prog band and by that definition don't stay the same. Their highlights for me will always be Damnation/Deliverance, I never get bored of hearing those albums. I saw them in 2002 (free ticket) and they were awesome.
18. The London Bass Guitar Show was the highlight for me eventwise, really enjoyed catching up with some old friends and spending the whole day absorbed in bass, seeing Mark King was great (although I'm not a fan) and randomly chatting to TM Stevens was very cool. Not been in any bands just had a couple of practises/auditions for deps and bands that never happened, no hard feelings. Gearwise I spent a whole 6 hours at Bass Direct in June deciding what to do with my Overwater Progress ! It went byebye in place of the G&L L2000 and 'Tanglewater' Contemporary J. They're still here ! Decided to skip BassDay due to what I consider a backwards move in the venue and capacity and increased ticket costs.
19. From the body shape I think this is a Q6 Pro rather than a Legend, I got mine new in 2005 and they had just been discontinued .
20.
That was a great bass - even I am thinking of getting a Dingwall ;-)
Are you kidding ? You have about 20 !
21. I am glad the lefties are identifying themselves. It will make rounding up much easier...
22. Yeah, I check the 2nd hand section every couple of days to see if I can guess the price in advance (work gets boring OK !) - always some tasty stuff on there.
23. Having earplugs and taking regular breaks (outside or in the canteen) made it much more bearable I think. I just feel sorry for the people who have to stay all day near the Rotosound stand .
24. I played a few when I was there and they were very good. When I was there I had the option of a G&L L2000 Tribute AND an Overwater Contemporary J5 (Tanglewood) or a Dingwall Combustion. I decided to go for the 2 as I thought i'd be far more satisfied with 2 vastly different midrange instruments than one expensive - so far this has been the case ! Also read a lot of comments that the Combustions are good value but it's definitely worth the extra pennies to get an ABZ instead. And, in the time it's taken to type this up - Dingwall GAS has indeed been 'reignited' (see what I did there, eh ?! )
25. Anyone who goes there not expecting this is very naive . That Dingwall looks awesome in that colour, I like it.
