I disagree, try a taper core B string and you may change your mind. I currently have MTD's on mine and the B is excellent.

Just got home and unpacked. Enjoyed chatting with my fellow bass geeks and tried some nice basses out.

I jest. I used to be really early for everything too, it was due to traffic anxiety and entering 'waiting mode' when any event was coming up leading to just going early to avoid the boredom. My wife has ADHD and she taught me to chill out a lot.

Support act for a band in Brum. Headliner was supplying a 200w Warwick Gnome with a 110 cab, which I didn't think would cut it for how loud we play, so took my Ashdown RM500 and a 210 cab. On stage sound wasn't great for monitoring so glad I could crank my amp to get some top end out of it. The singer from my old metal band 2006-2007 came along too, hadn't seen him in 15 years so that was cool to catch up. Not a big turn out at about 25-30 people but first gig of the year and blew the cobwebs out. No particular issues or messups - solid performance.

I saw the BD post and really considered ordering one, but I don't like Duran Duran, 4 strings, or pink. Dingwall are great at advertising.

Here's a close up from my D-Roc, you have to adjust both bridge screws to avoid them slipping between the gap when adjusting the height.

Honest opinion - listen to them. Put it in a case and under the bed or in loft etc and forget you have it for a bit. Then one day you'll remember, get it out and be very glad you didn't sell it. It also alleviates the earache from said family, which is worth way more than £1100. -

Seen that and it's been heavily reduced. On close inspection it looks like a Gibson era model, the price looks about right I think. If you buy online you can always return it if it isn't for you.

The idea and motive behind this is absolutely great. However I am an absolute bass slut and the thought of one bass to play (however good it is) fills me with terror. I am down to 8 basses after selling one today, one is pending sold, another is still for sale. This will drag me down to a measly 6, which is a poor show but just about enough variety for my whims.
