  1. Enough suspense! He stuck about for the RBXJM2 so it's not too obvious to me.
  2. That is the one at the start of this thread. I modded it with EMGs as well as a a Delano preamp. Would have kept it happily until the 'prettier' one came up.
  3. It came with very dead MTD strings (tapered). But I'm using Ernie Balls on it now. Plot twist. I actually bought another one and sold this one as the new one was 9/10 mint and had a much nicer top.
  4. Only noticed as I was updating my profile, clicked save - then got that error. I didn't break it, though. OK
  5. Sorry it didn't work for you ! I gigged with mine for a year and only changed to get a fancy touchscreen on the B6, they sound the same.
  6. One for today - 1999 Warwick Streamer for £300. Was advertised as a Rockbass.
  7. A few spring to mind, but I am a rampant bargain hunter/flipper. USA Gretsch 6131 Firebird - SoundControl ~2005. Was mislabeled as an Electromatic at £299, they kept this price even when queried if correct. Sold on eBay for £1k. Ibanez Musician MC900 - £250 PMT ~2006, soon traded for a 96 Stingray (they were around £750 at the time). Tiesco 1480 (1969) - last year. Facebook market as 'broken' for £25. Needed 15 mins of electrical work to fix, later sold for £250 Dingwall Combustion 5/2 this year for £750 (Facebook), good condition too. 2011 Rickenbacker 4003 from CashConverters for £1100 a couple of months ago. Loved it visually, but no use to me - sold a few days later for just under the going rate.
  8. I think it's the same for me, unless it's someone I know - the 'payment arriving' is the bass arriving before I ship.
  9. Definitely not something Yamaha ever did.
  10. I spotted this the other day and my curiosity was engaged. I am inclined to think it is a Yamaha neck (logo removed), on a custom body made specifically for that neck and those pickups (as they have a unique shape). Some close ups of the wiring cavity might help determine if it is a factory produced version versus custom shop job. A Google reverse image search also does not yield any matches. It looks too modern to be 80s (other than the neck serial) so I would hazard a guess it was late 90s based on the styling. What do those top 2 controls do ?
  11. Another vote for MTD here, although it looks like that Z5 at Promenade has sold now (perhaps bought by OP ?!). I have a Super 5 fully Bartolini'd and I use it in a hard rock band. I recently had a Z6 also which was a little too refined for what I do - but had a great sizzle to it. An MTD Z5 is definitely ideal for what has been specified though.
  12. They are automatic, but I would use the device without them appearing also. I buy tech for it's current ability, more than it's potential.
  13. Not really. You've already bought it. If you said "I want to get it, but there's no app", that might be different.
  14. Have played this and can confirm, it is great.
  15. You are the talent, so to speak. Is there an OF yet ?
  16. Also, wear something seductive.
  17. I think as an experiment you should do a shred vid and see how it does for clicks. I know you are quite capable.
  18. I think it depends on the intended market. For example for a P bass I doubt anyone wants to hear double thumb/tapping. But for a bass e.g. Dingwall, people conversely are less likely to want to hear it play Come Together and more likely to want some shred.
  19. I have the EVO II and am not quite sure I can justify the upgrade cost for the EVO III. It definitely looks great, but beyond the cab sims and cosmetic changes - the EVO II is already pulling it's weight.
  20. Very P bass, but cooler. And made in England !
  21. Thanks, saved me digging pics out. It's a super thin veneer, maybe attached via a clever process that allows it to be moulded to contours without cracking? Is it a flame maple veneer or very good photo flame is the question. It has no depth to it under light whereas normal flame would do, even when very thin. EDIT: I'm going with photo flame as the dark/light patches never alter under changing light angles.
  22. If it is, it has no lustre and is under 1mm thick (I had the neck off my old BBG4 to check this).
