1. The bridge cover certainly isn't something I'd expect to see on the V940.. As long as you like it .
2. Headphone amp is a must - the walls are pretty thin.
3. Can you post proof you own this bass ? Excuse the hostility - but you only signed up today and first thing you do is sell a £4k bass .
4. Spector Q6 Pro. I sold it because I wasn't advanced enough to make use of the higher strings, I feel now I would. Only thing that doesn't maks me feel better is that I got what I paid for it when I sold it.
5. I played a Euro 4 Zebrano the other day. Felt very nice - sound wasn't my thing but other than that a very nice bass. Very well put together and I think good value (compared to US Fender / Musicman / Warwick).
6. Stringbusters once sent me a 5 string set when i'd ordered a 6. When I rang to point out the mistake they did send the correct set immediately and came the next day, along with an SAE to send back the 5 set. Stringsdirect have always been 100%, although a little pricer on D'Addarios (which I use).
7. Try this: http://www.davemarks.com/BGM/StyleFiles/09...yle%20File.html
8. I played a Buzzard LTD in black today at Birmingham Sound Control, the neck was HUGE, gave me cramp pretty quickly. Sounded absolutely awesome though..
9. Look forward to this when it hits the shops.
10. I used my Ashdown Electric-Blue 180w at my first gig and it wasn't quite up to it (farted a bit). As soon as I attached a MAG210 cab and ran it at 4ohm - everything was perfect, only have the volume on about 3-4.
11. I think it's sometimes possibly disassociating with the problem and blaming someone else as a way to feel better. For example, you know you have some bills coming up that you can't afford, and that bass/amp hasn't been collecting dust for months but you like the look of it. You don't really want to sell it, so she made you do it ! Personally, my GAS wouldn't know any ends, there's always something else I'd want. I do quite well, the missus will always buy me anything easy to get hold of or cheap (pickguard, strings etc) without asking. When it comes to basses - I generally try to upgrade via trading rather than buying out right. I swapped a Yamaha BB614 for a Fender Jazz, and an Ibanez Musician for my Stingray, so i'm quite happy with that.
12. I'd hazard a guess at around £180 tops. A new T-Bird can be had for £224, the case and any addons in general are rarely seen as a reason by buyers to pay extra. 13.
Mine arrived looking like it's been kicked around a sorting-office floor and possibly reversed over by an artic. The spine's been broken in about 5 places and I'm not impressed.
Not possible - the sorting offices have been empty.
14. I went through a 6 string phase, then realised I had no real need for it. I get on just fine with a 4.
15. I use D'Addario Prosteels on my RBX775, but I am going for a modern fretless sound. Flatwounds will give you an upright vibe for sure..
16. These guys (and gals) are also pro's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF4YdyUeSIk
17. Can't beat natural finish with black pickguard .
18. I go for the solid rock category too, occasional melodic fills and a few slapping interludes.
19. W H Smith usually has it - look very carefully, it's always behind something like Oboe Weekly and Sitar Times .
20. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ashdown-MAG300-bass-...1QQcmdZViewItem
21. Eww Telesales, i'd rather mop out drains than do that.
22. I'll stick to the one pint to relax me a bit, any more and I just lose my edge and screw up alot.
23. Just spotted these - looks interesting. I wonder if the 64 or 84 would suit me best...
